Transfer Portal

Rob Cassidy of Rivals:

I highly doubt it means anything other than a "far out" question, though one never knows....

I don’t see him in our future. Soriano and him play the same position and neither is a four playing as a five.

It's making me dizzy all these transfer portal names and possible interest from St. John's. I will get off this Merry Go Round, and when it stops ask myself did Rick and Staff put together an upper echelon team.

My prediction is YES they did.

One other serious question I don't know the answer to: is Brandon MSGardner firmly locked in?

I thought I heard he and his mom wanted to meet RP and then decide?

The transfer portal seemed like a great idea if the purpose was to get playing time for a player buried on the bench or the opportunity for a player to transfer to a higher or lower competitive situation based on his skill set.
But the transfer of a top player to a team who he feels has a better chance of making the final four as Dickson is reportedly doing just doesnt seem right.

Twin Towers. Kinda like our last Twin Towers: Jeff Allen and Bill Wennington.
I saw Jeff Allen at an Alumni Hall a few years ago and he was totally ignored - I hope they pay more attention to former players and announce them when they return for a game!
What a team/tandem of Allen ( Connecticut ?)
& Wennington ( Canada?)

They have been doing a much better job lately…acknowledging layers in the stands and recognizing a former player at half court during most, if not all games

I am surprised it's been virtually mum on David Jones' situation.
Have switched from 'he's staying / Joel's buddy / Rick will tap his talent'...to...'he's gone'...'to not having a clue', which is where I'm at now, lol.

Kids like Jones and Curbelo have/had very tough decisions to make with the sit out rule looming. Not surprising to me that they are taking a bit longer, feel for both of them as maddening as their play was at times.

A 7 footer with .40% 3 point range and unselfish with the ball. A whole new definition of hi- low ball with Soriano down low.
Wherever he ends up, that team will be nationally ranked with the right coach.
