I only bring it up because of the countless pitino mentions. I could care less.We looking for a coach or a Pope?

Number 4 on that list sure is a good candidate for the guys that want this program to drop down to the MAACLJSA,
I see you stole my list. . I’ll post it here too. Here are realistic coaches that would probably take the SJU should it become available (In order)
1. Speedy Claxton (Hofstra Coach)
2. Brandin Knight (Rutger Assistant and profession dirty Jimmy boheim troller)
3. Bob Richey (Furman Coach)
4. Donald Copeland (Wagner Coach)
Personally, I like Copeland more than Richey but I think people would go nuts if he was hired even though I believe he will be a very successful coach.
All winners are high IQ guys. Speedy/Brandin/Copeland obviously have very strong tri-state area ties, Richey has the HC experience.
Yeah I don’t doubt would be an issue for SchoolI only bring it up because of the countless pitino mentions. I could care less.
I mean, I’d rather win basketball game than ‘excite the SJU fan base’, especially the ‘Pitino or we riot fanbase’. But, you know, everyone’s priorities are different. Now that list should excite the SJU fanbase.

Yes the coach I want has won 2 national championships, been to four more final 4s and countless other second weekend appearances. Copeland is a guy that inherited the NEC favorite and is 6-6 in his first year and a sub300 KenPom team, down about 25 spots from their preseason rankingYou realize that the coach you are championing coaches in the MAAC right?
I saw someone mentioned Knight the other day which jogged my memory of him, so if that were you I definitely stole that one. But I don't think Copeland would ever be on any list I formed, and I've never even heard of Richey. Looked good after I googled him though.LJSA,
I see you stole my list. .
Claxton has potential, and Knight would recruit. The other 2 and we'd be right back to where we are now.
I want alot better then where we are now.
Oh so you're good with where we are, so then why not just keep CMA.Than I’d suggest starting a go fund me, raising 35M and telling Cragg this is for bill Donavon on a 5 year deal
JF, it seems some are good with the way things are, including the higher ups at SJU.Good thinking by SJU brass. No way should this school give-in to a coach who has won two National Championships with two different programs, has made four Final Four appearances, and made three National Championship appearances.
I mean, why would we want that arrogant adulterer calling the shots at our program? Cleary someone like that could ruin all the great work we've been doing.
And then we'd have $35 million burning a hole in our pockets when he turns us down again.Than I’d suggest starting a go fund me, raising 35M and telling Cragg this is for bill Donavon on a 5 year deal

you win!I love you guys but I'm so done with this thread I'm gonna be miserable personally to the extent id almost have cma another year
lolyou win!
Thanks for sharing 75'. That's why I don't give a damn whether or not our coach is a nice guy. Just win baby!A bit off topic but Brey was by far the nicest basketball coach I met while traveling/working with the St. John’s men’s and women’s teams.
Calhoun was by far the meanest/nastiest.
