Zags Article : coaches on hot seat - Mullin noted

In regard to critiquing coaches, the Hartford Courant continues to publish a host of articles on UConn sports - of course this year the women’s team is praised (rightfully) and the men’s team condemned. One recent article questioned why Coach Ollie did not play his two freshmen in the latest lopsided loss to Wichita State.
I kind of like our position as is - no change in direction with CM and staff and our players and prospects - would NOT trade places with the once vaunted and always smug UConn men’s program.

PS another article was about what will the American Conference do when UConn returns to the Big East - boy how I hope UConn NEVER returns!

Rysheed Jordan was never, ever, ever, ever, a 5 star talent. To me he wasn't even 4 star.
Pointer was flawed as a player. Great athlete, limited player.
Sanchez was vastly overrated, vastly.
Branch was a serviceable 6th man.
Greene was a good 2nd or third option on offense.
Obekpa was a shot blocker and little else.

I'm not sure who needs the meds, you or me, but it may help if you re-read your own BS before responding.
As for the dementia comment, your overly verbose elderly abusive remarks may one day bite you on the ass.;)[/quote]

Since you don't remember that salty dig and I were at the head if the pack defending lavins accomplishments here, you also shouldn't remember how poorly jakarr played the 1st half of the season in which he departed .

Then everyone here was saying after a few good games that Jordan would bolt for the NBA. I simplybsaid he wasn't an NBA player - correctly.

Facts are facts. No Lavin team we stacked, and simply had a short roster of good if undersized players

The dementia was a bad crack, but cardiac meds can cause cognitive issues. See your doctor. Hopefully he hates Mullin as much as you do.

By The way, I saw _______ at the pregame and told him you said hi and tgat he makes you laugh. He said, "How do I make him laugh? Am I some sort of c lown?"

This last comment says all some us here need to know about you. It explains the utter bullshit that you post regarding Lavin and his players. It explains your inability to put sentences together without contradicting yourself. It also shows that sociopaths tend to associate with other sociopaths.
Don't PMing me for any more info or confessing to stalking _____, looking up information on his wife and posting pictures of his mailbox. I don't do psycho as well as you and your friends. That's a unique gift that only a few bombastic self-promoting CYO bullshit artists like yourself can possess.
Next time you see your friend ask him if he thinks he got his investment's worth with Abe Keita as a favor to his jar head friend.
Please explain what this means "Since you don't remember that salty dig and I were at the head if the pack defending lavins accomplishments here"?? What or who is "Salty Dig"? If you were a leader of the pack are you referring to wolves in sheep's clothing like your friends. Do you also _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________.? Finally, I don't hate Mullin. _______ fans like you want to call names, use terms like dementia, see your doctor, meds, etc., as if you are sound of mind but you are the one _____________. There are many self promoting fans I have met over the years I won't waste my time with because no matter how much lipstick they wear, they are still ........

I don't know ____ or any of the folks you allude to. Personally, I don't care for the way he struts around like he's someone important, but it's mostly self aggrandizing. I don't see anyone in administration fawning over him, and I don't have any knowledge of his relationship with the coaching staff. You and others might, and it may be valid. I do know ______ and _______, and to impugn ______ by association, as someone here has, is not just incorrect, it's outrageous. The Mullins are good and decent and by all means among the best individuals SJU has ever produced. Can he coach a lick? That's opinion, and everyone is entitled to theirs. I say he can.

Gee I thought you just have fun on here. You are once again off the rails. No wonder it wasn't long ago that the mods seriously thought of banning you.

One thing I avoid is referencing private conversations. The fact that you are trying to drag one of your antagonists into my disagreement with you speaks volumes. You are attempting to blow the board up.

I'm not going to go into specifics, but suffice to say, I avoid that person and he avoids me, and the board is better for it. I don't dislike you at all, but the board may be better if we do the same for awhile.

Chris is learning as he goes. He never coached before, he was never an assistant coach before. It's silly comparing him to Norm or Lavin or anyone else for that matter. He does however have a great feel for the game and for his players. Obviously if we had Marcus for the whole year, things would've been different. However at the end of the day, the team has progressed and the his in game coaching has progressed. That's really all that you can expect. Heck, we might even make the NIT which would be nice for the team and most of the fans. Myself, I have higher expectations for next year. I think we can use next season as a barometer for both Mullin and the direction the program is headed.

Beast, my sincere apologies for coming on super defensive but you shouldn't publicly drag in the name (s ) of fans I consider a bad influence on the program past and present. It was as if you said ""Susquehanna Hat Company", slowly I turned." Sorry for assuming you were part of that tribe. And, it was after midnight when I turn into a werewolf.;)

Yes I was banned because I didn't take the anti-St. John's spamming that JJ allows by Marco Baldi. I will argue coaching merits to a fault with any fan, but, if I think someone is here to deliberately degrade the university or our players I take the gloves off. To me, silencing that turd was worth the probation.
You on the other hand are a good poster and alum who loves alma mater so, again, I was wrong to come at you, thinking you were allied with a sociopathic fan.
Again, my apologies.

This thread took an odd turn. Bringing up former posters, posters on other boards, name calling and revealing PM conversations. Not too mention pictures of mail boxes. I have to think Fun might have the world's most famous mail box. In fact I think it has it's own twitter account. I have to say all of this reminded me of the good old BEB days. Maven, Baldi and Fun all on one post. Not sure how Scotch was left out of all this. Good times!

You're a good guy and i don't like being at odds with you personally even if i don't mind disagreeing with you at times.

Thanks for writing.
