Your prediction re: St. John's Win/ loss record is

These are some very negative outlooks. I'd be shocked if this team doesn't win 3-4 more games before the NCAA/NIT. STJ will likely have a very winnable Big East Tournament game...perhaps two.

I expect STJ to take 3/4 from USF, Pitt, Marquette, and @Providence. ND will be tough on the road, but we've matched up well with its style of play for several years now.

I like to temper my optimism with realism
I think we can lose every single remaining game - I doubt we could run the table; most likely a few wins are left.

I think .500 gets us into the NIT which would be a terrific experience for ths kids.

I'm out of the country
does anyone know when Coach will return?

all the best

I had us at 19 wins before the season started and when I thought we were getting Sanchez who I thought would be a key player for us.

Without Sanchez I thought 16 wins. So we have a definite chance to be better than I thought. All in all despite some tough losses I'd be fine with that but I'd really like to see us close out 3 or 4 of the remaining games

This morning Providence appeared as a likily win, ND and Pitt as potential losses and Marquette as a what ever. By this afternoon who knows. 5 and 1 or 1 and 5

If you can't see the BE is unpredictable then a trip the eye doctor is in your near future.

The no question games are gone.

Every game left is winnable. Just as every game left is losable. One game at a time.

Agree. There is no rhyme or reason to the Big East this year. We just have to wait for the final game and see how it sorts out. I do feel that we will be top 6, however. Just a hunch.

Our games at the garden give us a better chance against the likes of Pitt, and Marquette, however I am worried about Providence at their homesite. Cotton, Council and Batts can score in double figures, probably need to go man to man to combat their three point shooting.

I think the extra time off this week will be good for the team to prctice and work on some things. It will also give the team a little extra rest and they will be fresh going into this last 5 game stretch. If we get Branch back I think we can find a way to win three of these last five games. Then we would need to win two games in the Big East Tournament to make the NCAA's.

Providence will be tougher on the road, Pitt and Marquette will be tough period.

Agree completely with 3 out of 5 plus 2 to have a chance at Ncaa T. Don't know if we can do it but if we do predict one and done in the grand tradition of the St. John's program unless we are regulated to a defacto play in game in which case I give us a 50-50 chance of advancing one round.

U r underestimating the lure of the NYCity market $$$

We gotta go atleast 3-2 in the last 5 games. Definitely should beat USF even without Branch, but want him (if he can) to get atleast 20minutes of game action before the Pitt game.
I think the biggest game of the year will be the pitt game. Lose that then they`d have to go 2-1 with the remaining 3 being at PC, at ND and home vs. Marquette. I don`t think they`ll finish 2-1 in those last 3, but if we beat Pitt and finish our last 4 games at 2-2 then we`ll still have a shot.

I think they`d still need to win twice in the tourny to make the NCAA. 10-8 gets us a 1st rnd bye, Wednesday`s game we`d be the higher seed on our home court, if we could get that far in the BE tourny then I`d believe that the NCAA comes down to that Thursday game against one of the top 4 in the B.E.
Not saying that we can`t make the NCAA with one win in the B.E tourny but I`d rather be safe then sorry.
Of course with all that said, if they lose vs. USF then forget the NCAA talk

This next game vs USF is going to huge.... Coming off 2 losses we need a convincing win to gain back some mojo!! Branch can't come back fast enough! Phil is just killing us vs any zone defense.... If we win big Wednesday night.... I think we go 3-2 with 2 big east wins, that gets us in IMHO

take em one game at a time.. South Florida first.. MUST WIN!! Then, we'll see how a Steve Lavin team finishes out a season.

Would love to watch a spirited effort for the remaining games irrespective of what the final record is.
