Yankees Vs Boston

Gary Sanchez with a 3-run BOMB completely out of Fenway Park, and it was hit closer to CF then down the LF line. Extends the lead to 6-1 at stretch time.

6-2 Yankees after 8.

One reason they are up in this game: Mookie Betts and JD Martinez are a combined 1-for-8, and the hit was a harmless 2 out single by Martinez in the first inning. The pitching staff has done a great job against those two tonight.

Good to see Gary Sanchez “getting some love” after being maligned so much by fans and the “fake news” media.
Been watching Yanks since I was almost pre-verbal w my WWII Dad rest his soul - I would be afraid of the loud Ballantine Beer commercials while watching black and white TV to the voices of Mel Allen and ( I recall) Red Barber - of course posters younger than I might have no clue about what I’m
Saying.
I’ve always taken as a blessing that my first five years of living the Yanks were
World Champions!
Thanks for listening and
all the best!

Yes, SS&G I was one of those questioning whether we wouldn't be better off going with Romine in playoffs last week. Gotta give Cashman credit for sticking with his guy when he looked pretty lost at bat and behind the plate. That was some blast he hit to blow the game open. Like our chances tomorrow with Severino and a bullpen that will have today off.

SSG, who amongst us can forget Mel Allen’s “ Ballantine Blast ,” for Yankee Home Runs ? Or, make the 3 Ring Sign for Ballantine ? The 3 Rings standing for Purity, Body and Flavor . The Yanks also has White Owl Cigars as a Sponsor . The NY Giants across the Harlem River Bridge had Knickebocker Beer and Chesterfield Cigarettes . The Dodgers had Schaefer Beer and I think Lucky Strike Cigarettes . Ebbetts Field also has the famous Abe Stark Sign that proclaimed a Suit of Clothes for any player hitting the sign . The Days of Willie, Mickey and the Duke were the stuff of constant chatter . Worth Rememberring .

Like I’ve said all along, absolutely brilliant move by Boone to keep Sanchez in and even move him up in the lineup. ;)

Let's dispose of the Red Sox and move forward.
Judge is amazing.

I see some here are of “my generation” -
And now that I think about it I never read books as s kid BUT I constantly read the box’s ores and articles on the Yanks, Dodgers and Giants - which is how I was learning about words - in the Daily Mirror, Herald Tribune, Daily News and probably the NYPost as well.
I recall Don Newcombe was often the star pitcher written about,

I tell it like it is, what he did last night doen't change the fact that he sucked during the season.
It's a new season though (playoff season), gotta erase the regular season, and thrive in the post season.
You thrive in the postseason and all will be forgiving, sports in a nutshell.

Retard Boone waits till the first 3 guys gets on for boston, I'd take him out after the 1st hit in the 4th.
Then the hit and run base hit, then a walk on for pitches.
Sev isn't an ace, true aces shut it down.

8-0 I'm done with this f'ing bs game

On to football

Boston might get 15-17 tonight, not gonna watch them clown us.

Should have pulled Severino earlier. I was hoping he would keep us close as I didn’t expect them to do anything against Eovaldi (we haven’t hit him at all this year when he was with the Rays or Red Sox) but get to their bullpen.

And you bring in Lynn. Needed a reliever with strikeout capability (Robinson, Green) in that situation. Boone what the hell?

I pulled the plug at 7-0.

Need CC to battle one more time tonight and hold them to 2 or 3 runs over 5 and hope our hitters wake up. If we get it back to Boston, Happ will not pitch another clunker.
