Yankees Vs Boston
Gotta smack the snot out of Sale tonight, and kick their asses.
Totally agree. But I am nervous. Listening to the FAN today, I'm surprised at how many people, hosts and callers, are so confident the Yankees will win this series. I'm not! I guess my Johnnies and Jets fan experience is kicking in here; even though the Yankees are a very different organization! LOL!

I think Torres swung at ball 4 with bases loaded, but more importantly let a fastball right down the middle go by at 3-1. That was our best shot, but at least we are still within reach at 5-2.

Can't kill him. First taking 3-1 was a given. Then he was thrown a nasty curve on 3-2 that was close enough to a strike that he had to swing at it even though he was probably sitting on a fastball.

It was a gutsy pitch on 3-2 with based loaded. Tip your cap to pitcher.

Sorry, I have been watching baseball for well over 50 years and taking on 3-1 is never a given unless it's the pitcher or your worst hitter at the plate which wasn't the case. Agree it was tough to lay off the curve down low but the mistake was not swinging at the 3-1 fastball right down the middle.

He just walked the guy before and was having trouble finding the plate. If Torres had swung and popped up on 3-1 Boone would've strangled him.

Btw Stanton made a huge out.

I will say this if this series comes down to bullpens Boston will lose this series even if they win tonight. The bullpens are not even close.

They just can't get a key hit right now in a big spot.

But they are working the counts deep and forcing BOSOX pitchers to throw a ton of pitches.

They just need to make them pay in a big spot.

I've said it before, Stanton is Arod redux. Can't leave this many runners on base and expect to win. Tomorrow is another day.

Win one in Fenway and shift the pressure back on the BoSox

Yeah his last two at bats were pathetic tonight. No doubt he has to put the ball in play.

He was not the only one though. 4-for 19 with runners on, that's not just one guy.

10 hits, but all singles until the 9th. Sometimes that's good enough, but at Fenway, you usually need your share of doubles and homers if you want to win.

Agree on both points.
Price has historically been terrible in post season so this is the one they need.

Stanton in the 9th needs to swing the f'ing bat, htf do you take them all? Looked like a big idiot up there.

Yanks always hit Price hard, I got no doubt we'll win tonight.

Screw the Redsux

Feel good about tonight's game & believe Tanaka will pitch pretty well. But we need to jump on Price early and get a lead. Let's put pressure on Sox - like our chances if we win tonight.

3-1 Yanks after 4. Need Tanaka to get us through the 5th and then we can turn it over to bullpen if necessary. Huge 1/2 inning here.

Tanaka comes up big so far. Probably will let him start the 6th as he's only thrown 7 pitches or so. Let's get another insurance run!
