The Yanks have won 1 WS (2009) since beating the Mets in 2000. 16 years since a win.

I always said that I'm glad George was a betting man and got suspended or we never see the mini dynasty.
 
Leave it up to Boone/analytics to screw up the momentum. Resting Dominguez, who seems to have found himself batting leadoff. Goldschmidt shouldn’t be batting leadoff and a redhot Bellinger should be protecting Judge.

Congrats to Judge for reaching 350 HR’s faster than anyone in MLB history.

Yanks are the most inept infield at turning DPs. Nothing is ever clean in the infield. DFA Peraza cannot do it day in and day out. Chisholm still looks weak to me in the infield.

Stanton sucks.

Guess Judge is back at it.

George Steinbrenner was suspended from baseball twice.The first suspension, in 1974, was for making illegal contributions to President Richard Nixon's reelection campaign. The second, in 1990, was for hiring a gambler to dig up damaging information on Yankees outfielder Dave Winfield.

Details:
  • 1974 Suspension:
    Steinbrenner was suspended for two years after pleading guilty to making illegal contributions to Nixon's 1972 presidential campaign. This suspension was later reduced to 15 months.

  • 1990 Suspension:
    Steinbrenner was banned from baseball after it was revealed he paid a gambler, Howard Spira, to gather information on Dave Winfield, with the intention of discrediting him.

  • Reinstatement:
    Both suspensions were eventually lifted, and Steinbrenner was reinstated to his position with the Yankees.
 
Yanks poor infield play cost 2 runs yesterday and another run today. Yanks sticks 2 hits thru 7 frames. Ugh.

Good pitching always wins out. Yanks bats went to sleep 3 of the last 4 days. They got lucky the last Mariners game.

Great move by Idiot Boone taking out Warren at 88 pitches. Hamilton another rocky reliever.

Volpe once again let a ball play him. What a ridiculous answer on that by Idiot Boone. Yanks outhustled.

Couple of balls in the outfield needed to be caught.

Idiot Boone talks about having to improve across the board, but adjustments never seem to happen.

Lucky the A's beat the Jays twice, but the Red Sux are breathing down their necks.

I thought I said they didn’t win a World Series between 1978 - 1996 which is a period of 18 years between World Series victories (1978 and 1996). Even if I made a typo (which I am prone to do) I did mention it was 18 years, all of which were under the elder Steinbrenner, between World Series victories which is a longer drought than the current 16 under the junior Steinbrenner. Both are unacceptable.
 
So we're just coming out of the All Star break meaning the 5 Yankee starters have had 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 days rest between starts yet Brainless Assman and Baboon collaborate to concoct an ingenious plan to start an opener. To borrow a favorite phrase of SJUWillRockNY I AM DONE WITH THIS TEAM! I hope they lose every freaking game for the rest of the season (but Judge hits 100 home runs) and maybe this would wake up Sleepy Hal. :mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
This team has become a f*cking joke in all aspects of the game. Please DFA Hamilton for sucking the whole season, and Vivas for disgustingly not sliding into 3rd base.

5 days off and not one starter wasn't ready to start the game? WTF has happened to this pitching staff?

Idiot Boone says the Yankees are athletic? They can't even score from 2nd and 2 outs while the Braves are running all over the bases. The baserunning has been horrific since Boone arrived.

When the f*ck is Idiot Boone going to explode at this team? When the f*ck is this team going to turn it around?

This looks like a sweep to me.
 
This game was over when the lineup cards were exchanged. A rare 20 game winner versus hamilton. Vivas is now a true yankee. he earned that with his crappy base running.
