16 years since this great franchise has won a World Series. That’s a long time for the Yankees.

The longest MLB streak of not being shut out is 308 consecutive games by the 1931-1933 Yankees. This streak began in 1931 and ended in 1933. The Yankees were held hitless in a game against Lefty Grove, which ended the streak.

I think they got to 200 games a few years back, as well.

I was so disgusted after the Boston series that I didn't watch last night or tonight.
Figured to get the scores from last night and tonight.
Seen that they have been shutout last night and tonight WTHHHHH

So we got a bunch of professional hitters that are making multi million dollars that can't do their job.
Why even watch this garbage? Maybe just tank and pray Boone gets fired?
 
I thought I spotted Jennifer Steinbrenner Swindal sitting next to the Yankees dugout. Maybe the family is getting interested in to how the team is playing and how it's being managed.

Maybe they saw how much the Lakers just sold for and they are getting ready to cash in. One can only hope!
 
What a disaster this is turning into. The 8th inning was the Yankees season in a capsule.

3 walks. Yankees pitchers walk far too many batters.

Error by Volpe on a double play grounder. Defense continues to be a problem under Boone.

2 on, no outs in the bottom of the 8th, and not only can't Grisham bunt the runners over, he ends up with an unproductive AB. Another issue under Boone. And the ball hitting him running the bases, unbelievable.

This is now a 4 team race for the division. Great job giving life to the other teams.

HTF does Boone think they're still having good ABs!! Idiot.

There are no consequences for poor judgement or poor performance by the owners. I expect the Yanks will be out of 1st place by July 4th. But guys will continue to have good swings.
 
The team is in a bad way right now. I know it isn’t all his fault, but let me focus on Volpe.
He is the golden boy.
He strikes out 150 plus times a year.
He leads all shortstops with 9 errors.
Cannot remember last time he tried to bunt.
Does not advance runners going to right side.
And in a way too unpopular opinion, I think maintains his position is because he is Judges buddy.
