Except, of course, if they call a close play on the field on our favor, initially. They have no problem overturning that.crap loss. made worse since kraken was a big reason for the loss.
tough first inning for both pitchers.
volpe . zero for 4. stranded 6 baserunners.
replay people are either lazy or taking heat for long time to make the call.
so now they are too often letting the on field decision stay.
He's 29, and still has two more years of arbitration. No need to rush, IMO. You're probably getting the best out of him, right now, and at a discount.Schmidt was outstanding today, and the Yankees should look to extend him now before he gets too expensive.
all that jazz9-0 Yankees, middle of the 7th inning, but the game is getting very, very interesting.
Unfortunately, at over 100 pitches through 7 innings, I doubt they will let Clarke Schmidt try and finish this one off.
If Grisham had went to second on that wild pitch, Baltimore would have walked Judge, who was up, to load the bases since first would have been now open. Judge wound up striking out but at least he took some hacks with first and third and 2 outs, when they were down a run.In the bottom of the 7th inning (I think), the Yanks had first and second and the pitcher threw a wild pitch. Guess what happened???? While the runner on second sped to third, the runner on first (Grisham I think) stayed on first. I think he was concerned that if he ran to second, he might dislocate an eyelash. I can’t wait to find out what his excuse was.
