Yankees 2024 Season

Went with the same pitch 3 straight times. And then Boone says he'll look into it. How does he not know what his catchers are supposed to be calling?

I'm not going to kill the Yankees for this series. I truly believe they are soon going to go on one of those 10 game winning streaks that will put them near the too of the Division.

However, their infield defense continues to be poor. Attention to details is not the hallmark of this team.

The Yankees are on pace for 89 wins, which would've been three games below first in the AL East last season. This season, however, that has them on track to finish last.
The AL East is collectively 48 games over .500. The Yankees are on pace to win 89 games and finish in last place, which is just an outrageous thing to envision. AL East teams are 93-46 outside the division. To put it in terms we can all understand, AL East teams are playing like a 108-win team when they don't play each other. The worst team outside the division is the Red Sox and they are 15-12.

Nice win over the much disliked Jays. Good job by Cordero and Brito, who got screwed by Torres on a double play grounder.

Team continues to struggle with fundamentals. Even had a runner picked off. 1 for 10 with RISP. Not good.

But the Yankees are starting to resemble a top of division team. Would be great to get 2 of the next 3 games.

game 43.
big win over a wildcard contender on the road.
a laugher turned into a semi laugher.
as the outfield defense has tightened, the infield is shaky.
$99 is back with a vengeance.
the pen of late, has gone from mlb best, to ok.

Bad Strike call way low , on Judge , forces Boonienout to protest and gets thrown out of game. Really bad call by ump enables Boone to throw his bubble gum into dugout in disgust. Judge remains calm and with 2 strikes and a ball on him , he hits a tremendous 462 foot dinger to centerfield, one of longest , if not longest of his career. Reminded me of Mickeys 500 foot blast

Judge almost hit one 500ft a few years back.

In fairness, most of the Jays comeback attempt last night was against Brito, who's really a starter. I think it was his 5th or 6th inning of work, so he may have been a little tired.

The Jays are my newest and latest team to hate. I say keep throwing in on them to take their mind off the games. Hopefully the more irate they get the less they focus on the game at hand.

it was not just game 43 that evoked my pen comment.

Torres almost singlehandedly lost this game. I know he drove in a couple of runs, but his ridiculously bad defense and baserunning were just what the Jays ordered.

German continues to pile up marks against him in MLB. How stupid is he and the Yankees given that he tries to fool the umpires when he is on a list of pitchers to be watched every pitch?

Volpe strukes out way to much. Thought the error would hurt the Yanks there.

I always felt Marinaccio was overrated. IKF and Trevino with nice overall games.

We’ve seen in last 3 weeks what Yanks look like with and without Aaron Judge in lineup. Judge covers up a lot of problems and is yet again truly a superstar . Not pretty without Judge, a flawed team that won’t go far unless things improve drastically .
