Yankees 2024 Season

Wow, pretty horrible. No hits in this lineup. Jhony Burrito was 3-2 on every batter, it felt like. Of course, the Yanks let pathetic Gallo hit a homer, and Gray stifle them. DVR'd the game and was able to watch it in 20 minutes. That's the only redeeming thing about this team nowadays. There's nothing good to watch, so the innings go fast.
What do you expect, what big hitter did they get as a FA (yeah I know Judge but he was here last year)?

It's basically the same hitters + a few role players. Hicks and Donaldson are still here so what does that tell you?
So why even stress it?

Just hope Rangers/Knicks get us to June (of course I want championships) , then watch the Gold Cup and womens World Cup soccer and in August pre season Football.

game 23.
revenge of ex yanks - sonny and joey
yanks entire offense - except dj and rizzo - are in deep slumps
it was sad seeing hicks trying to get on via a bunt and failing.
it was sadder seeing hicks end the game with a swinging strike on a ball below his knees.
sonny registered 21 outs. all but one was either a strikeout or infield grounder.
2nd game in a row, a 9th inning run stopped a shutout.
that 9th inning run was a sympathy. run, with bases loaded and grounder to 3rd baseman.
but it is yankee leather that lately has been in the turlet.
3 run inning - walk, seeing eye single, seeing eye single, seeing eye single, ball off pitchers glove. 3 runs.
4th run = massive ballantine by joey.
5th run - 2 outs - error by volpE ( 2 in 2 games), then left fielder cant catch a very catchable ball.
6th run - right fielder cant catch a very catchable fly ball.
yanks not hitting, yanks not making the defensive plays, yanks not winning.

When they can't beat the Twins, all hope is lost.

Is the offense in a slump or is it performing at par? That is the question...

Judge and Rizzo flip in tonight's lineup.

I've been a big advocate of Judge in the 3 spot, but I have a sinking feeling that this won't be permanent.

I do wonder how Yankees batting coaches somehow escape scrutiny regarding the paltry performance of their lineups year after year. No homers, no wins. Plain and simple. Never winning anything with that approach, and the really poor bats in this lineup. And please cut the shit out of Hicks, once and for all.

I don’t care who your batting coaches are, when you keep running out the same inept lineup, this is what you get. Needed at least one more bat and didn’t get it and per usual, decide to wait and see if they can get one around the trade deadline and once again see themselves looking up at teams (usually the Rays) get off to a fast start.

Cashman’s team may not make the playoffs this season. Poorly constructed roster that is week on fundamentals.
Agreed! Judge striking out at alarming rate, 40 percent. If this continues 500 ABs would be 200k
