Yankees - 2019

Right now that combined with lots of empty at bats results in a really poor start to this road trip. And with Paxton tonight it wouldn't appear to be getting any better.
Problem is what starter couldn't you say that about?
And who would you have confidence in starting Game 1 of the playoffs?
Boone said he expects severino and betances back by mid September, so 2 weeks, with 2 or 3 starts,? I hope that's enough time to work out the kinks.
I'm guessing Paxton (hoping his game last is the start of him pit hing really good down the stretch run). Tanaka as #2.
Then I'd go Severino, then if up 2-1 or 3-0 go with German, if down, I'm going experience over youth . Cc or Happ.depending on who is throw in ng better the afternoon
German deserves to pitch. I don't want CC anywhere near a playoff roster. As stupid a signing as any over the years. Old, terribly out of shape, can't defend, etc. He's done.
So if we're down in the series, we're going to a kid making his first ever playoff start, to me that's to much pressure on him. I'd rather cc or happ go atleast say 4, then depending on the score maybe have German coming in from the pen for 2 or 3 innings.
Now if we're up 2-1, then I'd start German, maybe he'd pitch relaxed knowing that if they lose that the worse it could be is tied.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. He deserves it, plain and simple. The other 2 have far too many warts imo.

Torres was headed home before time was called and should have been the tying run. Next time a ball is hit up the alley with bases loaded just call time out. SMH

game 131.
tough, tough loss for dub and the yanks.
the 2 la runs were a hit off dub's body & a first row homer.
having bases loaded & one out & scoring zero sucks.
the timeout issue added to the tough loss.
the daily old school redmen why was he even born award goes to sir mjg for his 2 bunt attempts.
the daily old school redmen savage of the game award goes to gearrin - bravo the bullpen.

Tonight German goes head to head with Kershaw (one of the best), would love to see German go blow for blow, inning by inning with Kershaw.
Take a back seat to no damn one.

No HRs allowed, and German should be fine.

Nice job by the kid, settled down after the lead off hr by Peterson in the 1st. Giving up 0runs.
Oh there's that familiar guy Aaron Judge, another he tonight, wb big man, we missed ya.

So with TB losing at Baltimore today, the lead is back to 8.5, and tied with houston (getting home field over them is huge, and if you think not then just look at 2 years ago). We easily could have lost 2 of 3 at l.a. and began the road 1-5.

game 132.
I would say post season atmosphere, but the announcers said it scores of times.
Bronx bombers blast Ballantine blasts.
my usual mantra - big fundy for mvp.
the daily old school redmen savage of the game award goes to ford aka ford.
the daily old school redmen why was he even born award goes to the dodger fans for dreaming.
the daily old school redmen rollercoaster award goes to ford aka ford - starts game on bench, gets homer & double.
does anyone in mlb know how to bunt? certainly not sunday.
is there a better/faster base runner than gardner aka gardner?
bravo to baj - 3 games/ 3 getty goners - a lifetime yankee.

Dominant pitching by the Yanks in this series. Could have swept the Dodgers. Let's get at least 2 in Seattle and come back home.

So we go up 4-0, and Happ gives 3 runs right back, era now at 5.70.
I'm freaking done with him, atleast CC will surprise ya and come up big every now and then.
I'd say CC is now the #4 over this bum.
And paying him 17mill this year and next, lol.

game 133.
another multi hit game for mvp dj.
the daily old school redmen why was he even born award goes to Broxton for hitting the ump with batting glove.
the daily old school redmen savage of the game award goes to ivy leaguer ford.
the daily old school redmen roller coaster award goes to gearrin - balk, no balk, balk, no balk.
speedster gardy turns a double into a triple.

72 pages of comments for the 2019 27 time world champion new York yankees - priceless.
the number of pages of comments for the cubs, chisox, macon whoopees - zero, zilch, nada.
10 to the 6th power - the number of comments about recruits, authored by people who have never seen them play via tape nor live.

I soon as I signed on Judge hits one out, but first want to talk about Stroman.
He's now 7-12, I didn't even realize that was now 5 under with the loss tonight, and Toronto wanted out #1 for him??? Hahahaha. Can't play Cashman like a sucker.

Players are wierd, 52HRs last year, look so damn bad this year (I could see a 2-3 week slump, but a 2 month slump???), and now all of a sudden, he's just tearing up.
To me, despite him saying that he wasn't hurt, he had to been hurt.

Sanchez's lack of hustle and baseball smarts and instincts is just extraordinary. I have never seen anyone like him in the major leagues before. Maybe in pee wee baseball.

Yes, very disappointing. Mentioned this on Twitter tonight. How is he not standing on second base after hitting a ball to the wall?

This is not the first time he has done this. He repeatedly does not run out batted balls. He is downright lazy! On another note, notice he never catches Tanaka. He is a disaster behind the plate with pitches in the dirt.

Gotta give you all credit. I can’t remind Sanchez defensive criticisms since late April early May. You guys went so long !

You can't expect Sanchez to be on second when he was admiring his work. I never like when any player doesn't hustle, but that also on Boone, who should have pinch run for him right then and there. Also tired of hearing about how good a hitter Sanchez is when he repeatedly fails.
