I think over 2 Decades it’s become endemic for fans to suggest new strategies of their own making as if that will help us win games .

We finally have a HOF Coach who everyone begged for and we still want to impose those strategies . Even on RP.
It's obvious that Coach P reads this board and is paying attention. When an asute poster with his thumb squarely on the pulse of the program suggests that Conway should be above Dunlap on the depth chart and that Dunlap shouldn't yet be played in tight games, the strategy is quickly implemented. When dumb suggestions like playing a green freshmen over a 5th year senior leading the league in assists and steals at the 1 or moving said senior to the 2 or 3 with some vague point by committee approach are brought forth, he'll ignore it.

Marquette getting thumped at Providence shows how hard it's going to be to win on the road against anybody but the bottom 2. That makes holding serve at home tomorrow that much more important.

Line up to -6. A bit high IMO.

I'll be honest, I have no idea how good or bad this team is. Pitino's comments in the media add the confusion because I can't tell if he thinks the team is terrible or is using his negativity as motivation to the players. It hasn't helped that many of the transfers have under performed expectations. I suspect we'll learn a lot about the teams potential tonight.

Sold out game. Going to be loud. Rick may regret these ubs games when he see what kind of real homecourt advantage CA brings.

Opening night!! First Big East game is just that. Previews are over. We know every kid by now and what they bring. Each has an upside and maybe only Soriano has brought it every night.

The truth is that at this point there are still a lot of question marks. Most notably, the big question is, "Can this team grow into a solid defensive unit, or will defense continue to plague us?"

Was at practice yesterday with Coach Panther. I hate watching practice actually but Rick like to run practice perched in the bleachers mic'd up so kids can hear him and he can see everything.

Yesterday, focused on our youngest rotation(?) players. Zuby can become a defensive force in the paint. When he blocks shots, he gets so much ball it looks like he could block them with his forearms. He doesn't use his strength posting up on offense, and needs lots ofvwork there. Still if he can play well enough, having 10 fouls at center and option to go big in moments big plus.

Wilcher appears to dribble too much, trying to beat his man off the dribble. I'm probably wrong, but if he dribbled less and passed more, offense may run smoother when he's in.

Brady is a scrapper. He mixes it up with much heavier guys and holds his own. Kind of a surprise because you might expect him to be soft at his build, like a 6'7 guard. Great shot, but must start making open looks with money in bank. It's funny, at one point yesterday was running past where i was siiting midcourt and something really set him off and was muttering profanities to himself. I like the fire.

My gut is burning right now. Big big must win start at home. Will set a tone if we don't get it done.

Be there. Be loud. Buy tix - plenty for sale for ubs and garden games.
