Agree. A couple of these “fans” seem to root for a loss. So how is this being a fan of the team? I get it in pros to root for losses to get a better draft pick. But not here.how can a Fan of a team (12-3 / 3-1) be so objectively negative? - not just you- i know... but the others that can't wait to come on here and chalk up an L
We have shot like literal sh*t the past 3 Conf games and have come away 2-1 with a 1pt loss.... We have shown the capability to Stay in ANY game regardless of shooting...
If we shoot 30% from 3 vs X, we probably win by 15 lol...
I'm talking just as much about losing by 25 to Michigan, losing by 4 to TCU, and scraping by SC State, as much as their loss to GeorgetownI don’t think they have underperformed, I think that their early Big East schedule is responsible for their 1-3 record.
I get these guys being "realists"... Facts- we haven't beaten anyone... UVA/KState/NewMex dont's hold much if any weight.Agree. A couple of these “fans” seem to root for a loss. So how is this being a fan of the team? I get it in pros to root for losses to get a better draft pick. But not here.
Scary that a lot of what you said is what we were saying about last year's team. I do think this year's team is physically much tougher, much more imposing, and defense-oriented, which will bear better fruit in close games.I get these guys being "realists"... Facts- we haven't beaten anyone... UVA/KState/NewMex dont's hold much if any weight.
Yet, in the same vein... we have been "in" every game we have played. We got fighters on the team. When you have those types of players- any game can be a Win.
Last year Seton Hall beat UConn and we beat SH. Your logic is not sound. They lost by 5 to yukon in Hartford, without Freemantle. We ain't winning this game.
P.S. this game went to O/T.
Agree- I believe we have the guys to come out on top of these close games more often than not. A lot of opportunity still on the table.Scary that a lot of what you said is what we were saying about last year's team. I am always personally suspicious on what the NCAA folks really value or do when picking at large teams. But according to them, NET is a factor, and margin of victory and loss is part of how NET is generated. So, IF the Metrics actually do matter (?) being in every game is better than getting blown out.Agree- I believe we have the guys to come out on top of these close games more often than not. A lot of opportunity still on the table.
And i understand- there isn't a column in the Metrics with a title- "We were IN the game" lol... we can't hide behind that at the end of the season.
3-1... with about... 8-10 opportunites to make our Resume Tourney worthy. We have the capability to Win every one of them

So I guess when they play st Johns it will be the battle of the Underperformers? ? ?I'm talking just as much about losing by 25 to Michigan, losing by 4 to TCU, and scraping by SC State, as much as their loss to Georgetown
Thanks you for pointing this out. Everyone bitching about losses hurting our tournament chances. We've lost 3 games by a combined 5 points. Let that sink in. When we start getting smacked in losses let me know.how can a Fan of a team (12-3 / 3-1) be so objectively negative? - not just you- i know... but the others that can't wait to come on here and chalk up an L

Unless the shooting percentages significantly improve, I agree with you.Loss.
You just go punch for punch with them, and you stand your ground, there's no backing down. Can't see how we win this game. Our record at Xavier is abysmal.
I want to see the same St. John’s team that played Baylor. That’s the only complete game we’ve played all year. If that team comes to play I feel good about our chances, if not it’s probably not going to be in cards for us.You just go punch for punch with them, and you stand your ground, there's no backing down.
Hopefully our punches are alot harder then there's, and we lay them out.
Smoke that victory cigar and head home.
They read this board, especially after they had a good game.
4-1 is on the line, lets get this.
Win at X and the team can get on a little roll w softer next five games. Lose by failing to close one at crunch time again and many fans will have doubts about the potential of this team to have an impressive season naturally. That is not stupidly portraying fans w concerns as “haters” or “angry old men”. Net of trolls, it is just raising concerns or voicing opinions on a fan board. Two talented coaches with two very different teams.
Miller makes sure his players "hear" and "listen" to his game instructions.
Pitino "hopes" his player "listen" but after observing the faces of Richmond, Luis and Wilcher in time outs........Pitino better preface every sentence with "LISTEN UP!!"
This will either be a close win or the first loss by double digits.
We have more individual talent than X but can they click as a team?
