@Xavier, Sat., Feb. 4, 5p, FOX

Heard Van and Shoes approached CMA about some proposed changes to game planning and were rebuffed. Trouble in river city throughout the program I sense.
If true, I'm not surprised. I've always wondered if the assistant coaches had any serious input in practices and game days.

The way we continue to play with little-to-no adjustments was sorta telling when it came to the assistant coaches input.

One of my biggest critiques of Anderson has been what feels like a lack of scouting and strategy. I don’t know what they do before games I’m sure they do scout and strategize to an extent but seems like he’s more the type of coach that just plays his way and doesn’t adjust. That may be fine against low majors but in the Big East you need to take something away from an opponent or at least minimize an opponents strength. We never did or do that. The narrative was always we press and force turnovers…but reality is we weren’t even effective at that very much. If that’s our only strategy every game then I can understand frustration from staff and players. Big East coaches adjust quickly.

Now let’s face it, this team has checked out and appears so has the coach. Because we don’t do a darn thing except go through the motions at this point.

No question the team has checked out. What happened?

Anderson's press conference says we didn't quit

"For us, I thought our defense was step slow in terms of getting to the spots we needed to. At the same time, I thought our guys didn’t quit. Our guys continued to fight. I was proud of the effort from that standpoint.”

Anderson should be fired right now. The seasons over and kids are going to scatter whether he stays or goes. Let the s__t hit the fan now and move on. Clearly we can't recruit at B.E. level so address that via head coaching/staff. Decide if you want to be in B.E. or not. I'd rather be relegated to a lesser conference with a lifeline than be the punchline to a "used to be " program. Reality is tough to stare in the face.

Firing a coach during the season is an awful look and will be a media nightmare. Jarvis deserved it IMO and the university still took a lot of heat for that, especially from the coaching community. The look what happened right after. Pittsburgh, which the program has never recovered from. You let CMA play out the season, where the admin can show they gave him a chance to right the ship in the Big East tourney. Since they know that's unlikely. work back channels for a quick turnaround once the season is over.

Show me the money. o_O

I know we are in a culture of immediate satisfaction, but the end of the Big East Tournament is in 34 days. I think they can afford to wait that long.

That being said, this still comes down to money. If the rumors are true that it's an $8m buyout, I'm really not sure where Cragg and Shanley are getting that money from. Considering the school kept Jason Miller for 16 years even though he was one of the worst lacrosse coaches out there, I'm not as optimistic as some of you.

Please don’t compare the importance of the basketball program with the lacrosse program at St. John’s. That’s like comparing Bama football with their water polo team.

Hmmmmmm, well coach, if they didn't quit and the talent , as you so assuredly stated, is there, then the coaching and game preparation must be extremely suspect.

Kudos to the staff for cutting into that 30 point deficit.

You see, this is the shit I can’t take. This coach is delusional!!! I know some will say, how do you expect him to respond. How about just saying that we stunk , we played horribly and it’s on me as the coach, the buck stops with me? How about saying that. I just want this guy gone!!!!!!

When I posted on this board that he should not be hired I was attacked and criticized. Now you realize why he has been fired. is it 3 times despite never having a losing season? Pitino would have been the right choice. Now who knows. Btw this could be his first losing season
