I have a hunch that before this month is over Wilcher is going to have a brekout game and get between 17-20pnts.

I read on here years ago that we need to draw 10K to MSG games in order to break even. Not sure if that's true, but if it is that number might be a decent benchmark to use. Maybe we'll get around 11K since the Georgetown game got 12.7K and they have a bigger local fanbase.

Also, not to make excuses but having 7 straight MSG games is kind of unlucky for scheduling purposes, this is a game I could see many people skipping despite our new ranking. We deserve to have great attendance, but I'm not expecting it for this game.

It was pointed out earlier in this thread, but in addition to other factors, really think the bitter cold we are experiencing is going to make a bunch of people decide to sit this one out and watch at home.

Just checked stubhub and there are a bunch of sub $10 tickets in the 200's. Even if you are a casual basketball fan, the opportunity to watch a top 20 team in the worlds most famous arena can't be beat. It's cheaper than a movie ticket, c'mon on!

And this team is a lot more entertaining than 90 percent* of the movies made today.

In retrospect hard to justify having played him against Hall if he can't play in this big game against a much better team. I was fine with trusting staff at the time but that was on assumption that playing couldn't make his shoulder worse.

Watching the warmups, I actually think playing Deivon was fine. He looked completely fine and his jump shot looked good.

He was totally different in game and they should’ve sat him the entire second half. Didn’t make sense then or now

If the Johnnies lose to Xavier, the way the schedule works out, I believe they will pass the team in the standings. Amazing how many feel that even without a good effort from Smith that this game is a definite win? Either false bravado or plain foolishness.

Nothing definite about it. X has been playing much better and Miller will have them up, especially after last time. But, I think we prevail in a tough game.

Exactly, this is a tough home game where we are clearly favored. If Smith is not playing I might make us a 4.5 point favorite if I was setting the spread but in no way do I think this is anything close to a check the box win.

Fremantle has really played well in his return, their guards are dangerous and I’m expecting a much tougher battle tonight
if no Smith. Our edge imo is our D if locked in consistently, offensive rebounding generating second chances and physicality. Should be a good chess match between Miller and Rick and a rock fight in the 60s perhaps. Being home, I think we win by a very small margin. Here’s hoping one of our bench guards steps up and makes a few timely plays.
