Xavier (MSG), Wed., Jan. 22 , 7p, FS-1

this game is a good litmus test for the team, to say I'm nervous would be an understatement.

If we come out and take care of business and win by 10+ we know this team is LEGIT. Admittedly I was also nervous about the SH game and we came out and blew the doors off of them.

In retrospect hard to justify having played him against Hall if he can't play in this big game against a much better team. I was fine with trusting staff at the time but that was on assumption that playing couldn't make his shoulder worse.
If Smith can’t play tonight then it was completely ridiculous to play him against Seton Hall. We need him tonight, we didn’t need him Saturday.

Where in the low Country do you live ? I’m in Bluffton .
It’s the Ice underneath the snow that’s a problem .
I'm in Rose Hill. Don't know about the ice I wont drive on it yet, I am afraid of large 4wd pickups who don't know how to drive on snow and ice and don't get the theory of momentum. Will be moving to Summerville in March to be closer to my son and son in law. (and no mortgage)

So does the committee look at tonight’s game as an aberration if we lose without Deivon Smith as they would UConn losing without McNeely versus Butler?

Asking for a friend, of course.
No , it’s only an aberration for power football conference teams. Not a must win but if we want to stay ranked we have to win tonight. As fast as they put us at 20 , they’ll move us out of the Top 25 just as quick.

If the kid wants to play the kid wants to play unless the doctors say don't. Lots of players play thru injuries and pain. Nothing to say if he didn't play against SH that he would be any more effective if he played tonight. We have a deep team and someone will step up. Kadray especially seems to play up (or down) to the competition.
