Peru isnt a rich country and they get hit with their exchange rate. For every dollar of ours we get close to 3.25 of theirs. I’ll be down in Peru for their second and third games and if they advance then their next game too

A little melodramatic?:) In my best case scenario Ramos takes out Ronaldo gets a red card and the game ends in a draw.

Their TV ads promote Peru as the richest country in the world. I didn't quite get that.

Back on topic. Heart breaking losses for Morocco and Egypt. I felt bad for the Egyptian goaltender because he had just made a brilliant save and then one went by him.

Pumped for Spain vs Portugal. Reigning Euro champs Portugal vs. probably the best goalkeeper in the World Cup.

Parts of Peru are beautiful but it’s definitely not a rich country. In Lima on the coast it’s super nice and housing prices exploded but you literally can drive a few miles and see the poor of the poor living in shacks on a hill behind the govt palace.

DeGea flubbed Ronaldo's second goal and probably set the wall too far over for the third. Although that was about as perfect a free kick as you're likely to see.

After watching the Iran/Morocco game which looked like a bad CONACAF game to
me, what a treat the finale was.

That was a terrific game. Glad I took a half day off work. They went at it like it was their last game ever. I expected a cagey affair, low scoring... it was anything but. CR7 was excellent, so was Costa.

Some interesting games tomorrow: France- Australia, Argentina - Iceland, Peru-Denmark and Croatia-Nigeria.

Credit to Iceland for holding Argentina 1-1.

The commentators on Peru - Denmark are awful. Good first half though but a really badly taken penalty.

Peru need to be careful about giving Eriksen dead ball opportunities, he can be deadly.

Not so much today. I have just two words for you: Kasper Schmiechel.

Today it will be viva los Ticos, viva el Tri and viva el Swiss. Hope Costa Rica, Mexico and Switzerland get it done.

The VW commercials are good and the Geico "slide" is hilarious!

Holy cow, that Kolarov free kick was better than Ronaldo's!

  Props to Mexico, their counter attack exposed Germany. I thought that Ozil, Meuller, Khedra and Werner were pretty much invisible. We need to shore up the midfield and attack.
