Wisconsin game

Fwiw, Wisconsin just beat number 11 Florida. That Billy Donovan is just horrible.. And they started with a big lead too. Donovan's coaching adjustments or lack thereof must have been the cause of Florida's collapse...;-)

They were playing without 3 of their regulars, suspended. They had a former team manager play major minutes. I know you were kidding, but just pointing that out for all those that are excited that Wisc won
 
The only reason Florida kept it close, was that their press was successful late in the game.

They still had three seniors that have played big minutes for them them the last three years, including Patrick Young. They had the top ten freshman, Eli Carter, and a soph that played 18 mpg last year. The three guys they were without seem to be depth guys (two have never played a game for them) more than anything else.

Eli Carter barely plays for these guys after being the best scorer at Rutgers the last two years.
 
Wilbekin didnt play, Carter barley played, and if you watched a kid that was a ballboy last year Kurtz was forced to play over 20 mins. They had nobody.

As I posted earlier Florida beat powerhouse, N. Florida 77 - 69 before this loss.

One was a starting guard, the other 2 are forwards.

Before they brought in a top ten pg. Carter not playing mug in either game tells me they have better options.
 
At end of game announcer Bob Wischusen said Florida was without 3 players and a couple of guys coming off injuries that may have not been ready to play. That said I have been impressed by Wisconsin. Really like that lefty guard Jackson.

I think they lost four straight at home. Strange season for them.

Big Ten top to bottom is one of the toughest conferences I've EVER seen--and I hate the Big 10.
Oddly enough, Penn State has now won three in a row after beating Ohio State and Purdue last week.

No do overs, lol! For once let's beat a good, but maybe overachieving team, tonight on road & then a high quality one on Sunday. Enough about what could have been. Time to show something. Up to now, we have failed to win any tough, signature games. M'Q, Butler & SH hardly meet that criteria. Granted Butler was a road game, but the next two are make or break games. If we drop these two, I'm sure some folks will diagnose the losses and apply "coulda" "woulda" "shoulda" theories. That won't mean squat. It's about winning now plain and simple.

To all those still on the ledge, Wisconsin is a nasty, nasty team. I would not be shocked to see them in the Elite Eight if they can stay healthy. Very tough matchup for our first game...essentially on the road.

Is Florida next up for Wisconsin or a couple of games away, after that game I'll rate the badgers. It a little early for picking NCCA standings
