Again I know its only one game, but are who is going to get the bulk of the minutes at the PG spot? Branch isn't the answer and Jordan looks to be more of a 2.[/quote/
By elimination that leaves Greene and that not about to happen>

It was a tough spot away from home to start, but a dismal first half and yet again we can't defend the 3 ball. Hopefully we learn from it and move on.
Hopefully you stop betting on us

Jordan definitely is a 1. It was his first game and he is just getting adjusted. His pass to Sampson for a dunk was beautiful.
The only thing enjoyable about the game was the crowd at legends. Thanks to nycredmAn for setting it up.
I will reserve judgement for a bit longer but there was a lot wrong tonight. They have a month to fix it.
Lavin did not seem to be upset with the outcome. He was very cordial at the end with Bo Ryan. Besides he said the team will come together somewhere around February and I believe him. No one on this board knew about Gasser, who killed us and
was out all last year with a knee injury.Duie Dukan comes off the bench and shoots lights out. Bo Ryan has shown he is a superior coach to Izzo, Crean, Beilein and all of the Big Ten coaches. His winning percentage is .700 plus which in my book is incredible. Could be a good wake up call for the team.
Only time will tell.
If it hasn't been said already, let me be the first to say that we look like a poorly coached team.
To state the obvious: Orlando can't pick up a quick foul to start the 2H.
D'Lo needs to get more shots.
3 pointer for Wis. Nobody on him, wide open.
Very little good to take out of this game; no sense of team on either end of the court. We have all the athleticism in the world; we don't have much in the way of basketball players. Still insist on playing D with our hands and lose balnace at the simplest of fakes. Still have NO shooters to space the floor.
Find me a team with less collective basketball IQ. You'd be hard pressed.
I didn't expect to win this game and we didn't. When we clawed to within 4, Wisconsin upped their game, and ran about 6 consecutive flawless sequences. I'd rather lose to a team like this early than to whip a St. Francis and have false hopes because deficiencies weren't exposed. I'd still say that if we ran into them at tourney time, it may be a different story, but for tonight the better team won - but these early tough games pay dividends down the road.
Best Positives:
1) Sampson is developing into a beast. Wisconsin doesn't have a single player with his athleticism, nor do most teams.
2) Sanchez showed signs of everything he is touted to be.
3) Obekpa showed improvement on the offensive end around the hoop - this can be huge as the season develops.
4) Jordan is ready for D1 competition and will get better and better.
5) Harrison is focused and under control - this will be his best season.
Negatives:
1) Too many bad offensive sets with bad shots forced with a lot of time on the clock.
2) Defense overall was bad. A slower Wisconsin team proved the adage that the ball can move faster than the defense. Our guys kick it out as a last resort - Wisconsin drives and kicks to create spacing on the floor and wide open looks, which they made again and again.
3) Our interior defense is as bad as our coverage of the perimeter. Early on Wisconsin scored again and again inside on one-on-one isolations.
I like our team. There will be nights where our overall talent clicks and we beat anyone. Other nights a disciplined team will shred us. If this is a prototypical Lavin team, you can see how it might catch fire and run deep into the NCAA's or also make an early exit.
Agree, very disappointed in coaches game plan, his preparation against Wisc. Perhaps our players might be over-rated and are doing the best they can or he is not able to get the best out of them consistently. If it hasn't been said already, let me be the first to say that we look like a poorly coached team.
 What a surprise!
Correct about Kingman striking out too much.
Correct that blocks are often times more hype than they are productive. (sometimes)
But how the hell does our team shooting bricks "lull the opponent into missing shots"? So, because we couldn't hit a jumper for 4mins, all of a sudden other teams were going to miss shots? That's not how it works.
