who will be the new coach

Masiello and Cluess would be huge steps backward IMO. If they are going to go that route they should have just kept Lavin. At least he would offer name recognition outside of SJU circles.

curve ball- Mr. Vitamin Water opens his checkbook and we might be all happy with his horse loving buddy. If it happens remember where you heard it first.

We're getting Todd Pletcher?

Mr Google, you are quickly rising as a must read on this site

I am not sure if that's a compliment. Not looking to steal the "spotlight" from few that are desperately looking for one on this forum.
I would like to open few more dirty topics but I feel that I might have a lawsuit coming :)

While we are on lawsuit topic: someone e-mail the AD and ask him how he's planning to defend the lawsuit he received from a recent firing of a coach (no not Lavin) for wrongful unjustified termination.

Interesting. But if your predictions start going wrong people will start calling you Mr AOL

Compliment. You have a ways to go to reach Paultzman status, but makes reading the board worth it.

More than twice as many people want Pecora than Mas . HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

that's 7 people voting I wouldn't want on a jury if I was in court

I think you have me confused with Nostradamus.

So far it seems to be an underwhelming list of candidates. I love Chris Mullin but as far as I know he has never coached a game at any level. The Hurley boys? Why should we trust them? The Manhattan guy (Massiello sp?) really? He lied on a resume. What kind of judgment does that show? I will support whomever the Administration picks but my faith is waning that we can ever get back to a high level in college basketball.

I think Danny Hurley is the clear #1 choice. I'd take him yesterday. He turns programs into winners. Zags tweeted this, "Getting back to Dan Hurley, the guy coach St. Benedict's Prep for 9 years going 223-21. Knows all the AAU guys & is a killer recruiter."

DANNY HURLEY. LET'S NOT SCREW THIS UP!
Happen to agree with you All 6 talking heads on Daily News Live and Loud Mouths on SNY went for Hurley some even saying no brainer. While I usually think some of these guys are poorly versed on college hoop maybe they know more than I thought lol.

Of the names put forth so far (Hurley D, Hurley B, Kriss Mullings, Mark Jackson, Masiello, Cluess), my totally meaningless vote goes to.... drum roll please... [strike]Pete Carril[/strike] Dan Hurley.

St. John's Exploratory Committee off until after the Easter break.

has anyone yet suggested Chris as AD and Hurley as coach. Makes sense to me but I am out of the loop for sometime. Chris was the GM of what became the best managed NBA office in the league based on many of his early decisions. The Hurley family is magic, hard working, successful, and the kids are young like the recruits.

It's been suggested, oldfan61. Now, get back into the loop!

They will be no comment on potential or existing litigation. from the AD. Any comment will come from Counsel.

By Kriss Mullings are you referring to HOFer Kresse Muellens? Let's see how far we can take this! ;) :)
