Who do you think the staff will sign next?

I think a young transfer FR or SO might be more likely to wait for PT. We are loosing a lot next year.
Fair point. They'd be out till next January anyway. An underclassman might be willing to wait.

We, however have no scholis. I don't think anyone is leaving midyear. A more likely scenario is getting a transfer after the season. He will sit out a year and be ready to get plenty of pt in 15. That's why it may be a good idea to save a scholi.

Mid-season transfer list in December could be some nice Christmas shopping. The transfer would only miss a handful of mostly meaningless games.

Transfers go where they are guranteed playing time, unless you are a pf who thinks Jakarr is going pro, we aren't that appetizing of an option.
Maybe there's a big out there who thinks he can get playing time with Sanchez/Gift leaving. But this isn't the same as when we didn't have a pg and picked up Branch midseason.

I definitely agree. It might be pretty enticing for a big man to know that we will be graduating our starting center and our second big off the bench, though. Our roster will only have two big men (plus Jones) and Lavin can spin that with the fast style of play to overcome many PT objections.

Believe coach Lavin and the staff have shut down recruiting completely for the forseeable future and so after Rysheed Jordan graduates in 2017 my projected lineup for the 17-18 season is as follows: C Paultzman F Moose F MJDinkins G MCNPA G mjmaherjr 6th man Fordham. Staff states they are targeting the 2028 class and have their eyes on several bigs as they have recently attended numerous one year old birthday parties! So good news, just be patient. Seriously though I think a lot of us may be a bit jumpy because when you look at it we have only gotten one new player in like 500 days so it seems like we are behind in recruiting when it has been more that it is a numbers game where we had a full roster. If we have a good year as we all anticipate, gets a couple of front court players in this years class and have another good year next year we will be set up for a big recruiting year in 2015 with Diallo and the like. :)

You got some things wrong. Im no guard. No court vision. More of a bruiser. I'm thinking MJDinkins might be the guard. I'm more of an undersized PF type. Moose has enough beef to play center. Mjmaher more in the Laetneresque SF role. He's even got the hair.

That lineup is just for the PA announcer! I'm like Lavs all players are interchangeable. Had paultzman at center though in honor of his name sake Billy the Whopper Paultz! :)

Ha! Y'all are wild. I'm probably the shortest one out of the group (not sure about fordham's height). I'm 5'11".

I used to have a deadly jumper (my handle probably was Dom Pointer-like, though) back in the day. Honed my jumper by playing against my older brothers and other (older) kids throughout the neighborhood. I couldn't go inside as a little kid, as they would block my shot. So, I learned how to shoot at an early age.

You aren't shortest. I'm 5'10...I never had any kind of inside game or even a mid range game...or a handle really. I was strictly Max Hooper...run to the corner, and I will occasionally burn people from trey land. I actually shot 4/7 from 3 at a YMCA over the summer...I was surprised myself and couldn't help but think I probably could have shot treys just as well as any option last year not named Harrison if open  . As a kid growing up all I used to shoot were 3's so I have that muscle memory, and I'm always way too strong if I try shooting mid range.

Since we love player comparisons on this site I'll gladly take the 6 ft 4 version of laetnner I'l give a coup[e of comparisons.

MCN is definitely the the power forward type. Maybe a little undersized. I'm thinking Ricardo Gathers

Moose would be like an Anthony Glover Center

Paultz definitely a cerebral player. Maybe a little slow but I'm thinking Mullin

Dinkins I havent met yet but I'm thinking Derek Brown for some reason.

Fordham is definitely Matt Brust

So what you're saying is that Moose jumps from the waist up.

As for Dinkins, didn't he state that was an excellent outside shooter? What's that got to do with the Derek Brown that I remember?
