What's Up with Lavin?

 Has anyone heard anything about our ex coach? Coaching possibilities or ESPN?

While it may not be your intended outcome, this thread will go from zero to Big East Boards faster then a Venom GT hits 100

As a proactive move, Paul has created a bat signal for us mods in order to be ready for anything here. And he promised to double our bonus if we keep all things Lavin from becoming a riot.

Concur, maine. No offense, but do we really need another Lavin thread (especially, when you have an idea where it'll eventually go)?

I suspect he'll need at least a few months to recover from this run. He's got a better situation monetarily than 99% of our fans, but it really has to be hard for a human being to be that disliked by that many people. Failing for a second time can't be easy either. He'll find himself back in the booth sometime next season.

He's probably relaxing and enjoying the free time while being paid out generously by SJU. Good for him, he will land somewhere eventually.

I expect to see him back in the booth, maybe doing PAC 10 games, and most likely next season.

Still hanging out in Manhattan biding his time. There is no rush for him to decide to do anything as he has a nice "severance" package but I am sure he will wind up in a booth somewhere.

And undoubtedly he will be covering St John's games, monitoring our progress and tipping his hat to Chris Mullin!

All the best to you Coach Lavin - thanks for all your effort and goodwill making this next epoch possible.
Peace.

I love how we can't talk about former coaches. But can talk about everything else from the past.

Lavin as sju's new Athletic Director. Could you guys imagine?

If it was a movie the plot twist would be ridiculous. Monasch hates Lav and wants him out, spends a year and a half trying to get him out of town and finally convinces his new boss to can lavin and Hire Mullin.

Meanwhile Lav realizes his job is in jeopardy and decides to make a power play that would rival the likes of Fluite and Laettner; in reference to Rounders and the great Knish, "You made a move on Monasch?". Lavin had convinced Bobby G that he couldn't handle the rigors of head bball coach but as a "GM" of the school he could work wonders. Bobby agrees and helps lavin set up a departure.

Monasch Never saw it coming.

There is a script that could be written to this. Fun should get on it.
