@West Virginia, Fri., Dec. 1, 7p, ESPN-2

Pressure not a factor for SJ & their zone begging us to shoot deep is effective for most part.

Jenkins is a terrible defender at the 1…he’s good against 2s. He’s a SG.

He dominates the offense more than any player I’ve ever see here. It’s insane. He’s wild and under skilled and he makes everyone play wild like him.
The problem is this team needs somebody like him to make plays on offense because none of the other guards are doing anything. Dingle looks hesitant in everything he's doing right now and Wilcher just isn't ready yet. Somebody is going to have to make plays and Jenkins is the only one doing that right now.

36-36 at the half.
Soriano 17pts, 4reb, 3blk
Ledlum 13pts, 4reb
Jenkins/Dingle struggling combined 4pts, 2-9 from field, 0-5 from 3.
See them coming out of the half hungry.

I think Pitino gets vein-popping angry and we outscore them 50-39 in second half, and casual box score watchers will actually think we played well.
Just know that there was only one game this season where the Johnnies outplayed their opponent in the second half, and that was Utah.

honestly don’t think we played that bad of a half lol I’m surprised by the tone on here

We’ve missed some threes but it’s in this teams DNA to take those shots, it’s just the way it is. It’s the way Rick wants to play.

Fouls piling but I thought a handful of them were cheap and BS.

If a few other guys get going offensively I think we take it

If we didn't have Ledlum I might play Jenkins at PF before I let him play PG.

Do I end up on coaching scrapheap as a result? Maybe, but I'd be willing to risk it.

Dingle is hesitant because he’s not used to playing with a ball hog. He goes 5 possessions without touching the ball.

Jenkins forces everything. It’s either his shot or some wild drive that ends up in him passing to Soriano to bail him out.

VT's offense was mostly foul shots and second chances after offensive rebounds early.
They can't defend us inside with our two bigs and their big has two fouls.
Pitino will shape our adjustments at both ends.
My prediction/ wish:
I'm hoping our offense in the first five minutes comes alive: inside to Soriano for a score and/or pass back outside
to our guards that start to hit.
Throw in a foul on their center and we slowly pull away.

I want to see Alleyne play more in the second half. He plays tough D and he can shoot.

Last big W I remember in West Virginia involved Felipe Lopez mimicking holding his giant nuts after sealing it with monster slam. Let’s hope ghost of felipeez nuts gets us thru….

Alleyne came in for Dingle and took 2 shots in 30 seconds.
