I think we would all be thrilled with the first three players you have listed as they really fill our immediate needs.
Posh is a big upgrade over Rutherford and the juco would replace Heron. Richmond for Figueroa at the 3 and hopefully a big man with the fourth ship. Truth be told from where this staff started that would be a first year home run class IMO.
A very realistic but very good class

Agree, it would be a big start on a rebuild and getting the talent closer to where it needs to be to compete in the top half of the league.
Redstorm NC, I would thank Rob too if I understood his post. Care to rephrase Rob, curious as to the point you were trying to make. Thanks. Hey Moose I guess I'm bored too as Mets squander one opportunity after another to put away the Braves tonight.
I think the Braves have the Indian sign on the Mets. :p

I say there will be around 5 new players coming out of this class. Staff is getting a better idea of what they need, and they need a lot more haha.

Agree Big Red. Guarantee we have a kid or two transfer to a little bit lower level school after season. Feel we may end up having 5 ships at the end of it all and will give em all out

Hopefully we have a decent first season under this new staff,. but you really have to like where we are heading. Haven't seen this much enthusiasm in a long time., especially after the lazy efforts of Mullin and Lavin.

I’d like to see Anderson’s winning season streak continue. It’s a nice selling point. Anything more than that is all gravy this season.

Two things building off what Moose and others posted. One, Johnny Jungle, a site which I love, is getting to be a tedious follow because of the apparent bias by the creator/moderator, admittedly a close friend of our former "recruiter", against the current regime. Two, when we landed a player the past few years, I found Braziller's articles to "play up" the recruiter who "landed" the kid (you know who) in a very obvious and overstated manner, which I didn't get from reading the Posh article, which pointed to Macon but seemed to emphasize overall the involvement of Coach Anderson and the program/staff as a whole.

Coach Anderson lost three starters, his only returning big man with an experience and a key sit out transfer in Eli who was being counted on this season to contribute and possibly start. For Coach Anderson to not have a loosing season means he will have overachieved and done an excellent job with the tools he has. Looking forward to our overachieving as opposed to underachieving. By my recollection the last time we overachieved was 9 years ago. We are long overdue.

The last time we over achieved we had Dunlap hammering fundamentals. This will be the first time since then we seem to have a staff which is capable of hammering the fundamentals. I could see us surprising just based on being well coached.

I really like what I'm seeing from CMA and his staff so far. While I can see where people are looking at this being a total rebuild, I am cautiously optimistic that we will be better than most expect this year. I believe that our staff's hard work, professionalism and commitment to excellence will enable us to "overachieve".

Anyone who minimizes the significance/importance of this commitment is either a moron or has an agenda. Posh’s value to us is far greater than his top 100 ranking. For starters, he’s a PG, and when was the last time we had a top notch(true) PG here? Then, of course, he’s a local kid. And while we should never be limited to recruiting just locally, it would be foolish to not take advantage of the talent we have available in our own backyard. And losing a kid like this would have really stung, especially if we had lost him to SH. This feels a lot to me like the Shamorie commitment. And like Shamorie, who was a top 100 kid when he commited to us, Posh could wind up as a top 50 kid by the end of the season. Kudos to the staff on a great get!

Agreed. It's the kind of recruit that can predict future success. If Norm Roberts had landed Levance Fields, in his second recruiting class, his coaching legacy at STJ might have been quite different.

Very well said and very true!! Plus he is a hard nosed, no back down, competitive as hell player; exactly what the doctor ordered IMO.
