Welcome Posh

I kinda get the feeling that the StJohn’s program finally has mature experienced leadership with AD Cragg, and coaches Anderson, Cleveland, Macon, and DeMoo.

Positive things happen with hard work.

Welcome Posh!! Great job by CMA and staff!! Let’s finish of the 2020 recruiting class with Kadary and Max A.

The comments of Jeff Goodman highlights everything that is wrong with college sports. An 18 or 19 year old kid announces his college choice and this grown ass adult man proceeds to throw shade “it’s not as if they beat out anybody huge”... Why not just report the story? It is probably the biggest day in this kids life. He probably feels pretty good about himself. Has a choice of decent schools, SJU, SH.

It is disgraceful and offensive. Plenty of time to denigrate the kid when you know he actually plays. What a tool.

And Goodman makes fun of others, quite the dancer

Well said. This should silence those CM apologists and early critics of coach and Cragg. Guy just landed his first big-time 4 star recruit in less than 6 months on the job, oh, and it's a local!!! Way to go.

All those apologists can crawl back into their holes for now. This is quite the catch so early on for the staff. Exciting times ahead. Or at least promising.

Great pick-up. He's the tough nosed type of PG that thrives in CMA's systems.

On another note, Slater is hating again, I was waiting on him to say something negative I knew he couldn't stay positive for long. Zach tweeted out that Kadary Richmond was good friends with Posh and keep an eye on that, and Slater quickly tried to shut that down. Now I'm rooting extra hard for Richmond to go to St. John's.

Jeff Goodman hating too...

I recall that big schools, didn't recruit Shamorie either. Let's see what happens on the court, everything else is meaningless.

“Nice job by Mike Anderson and his staff, but let’s face it: It’s not as if they beat out anyone huge for this kid to my knowledge. Should beat Dayton, Illinois and Pitt for a local kid. But again: nice pickup for the Johnnies.”
mjmaherjr renews his season tickets this morning and Posh commits tonight. What a day for St Johns :)

Welcome Posh. Cant wait to see you play for the Johnnie's. Now we have another strong NY based recruiter who is friends with Kadary, and played with both big men Cliff and Max. Nice to have "the Goods" locked up. We are...
Great news and excellent job by CMA and staff.

I remember, at the time of his hire, the biggest knock against Coach Anderson was that the NYC landscape was completely foreign to him. Today, after just five months on the job, he landed a top NYC point guard. That's pretty darn good work.
Welcome aboard Posh. Really looking forward to seeing you play for us. We love tough hard-nosed players.

And here we have a coach who hasn’t coached one game for St John’s yet, and he has 3 NY recruits plus a NY transfer on board. He’s figured this scene out very quickly, and much better than we’ve seen in a long time around here. I love the direction and the progress. Keep it up coach. And who cares about the doubters, They’re still trying to justify their bs comments about how Coach wouldn’t recruit NY.

Just back from anniversary dinner after forgetting my phone. Was anxious about the announcement but this just put the icing on the cake after a great dinner with the bride.

Glad to have another Brooklyn lad on the team and congrats to our coaches for the hard work. Love that Posh said he wanted to work on his defense as his transition is wonderful. Also love his references to Justin and CMA meeting daily with the lads-wonderful commitment to his players that will pay dividends..

I should have started a Posh to Seton Hall thread to scare you.

Really looking forward to this kid playing here. He’s a pit bull on the court. Plays downhill and has great motor, toughness and insane athleticism for a kid his size. Fits what we are trying to to which under Mike Anderson seems to be getting more athletic, tougher at both ends and relentless. Can’t wait to see who’s next because we really need an infusion of talent.

This is an excellent point. Staff deservedly getting the accolades but the "executive producer" if you will of this new era is Cragg, who seems to be putting them in best possible position to succeed. Great job so far from top to bottom.

Great add.....

but read a post by Dave on JJ that said there could be academic eligibility concern - has to make up ground there and a reason why there were not too many offers. Have no idea if true but he seems plugged into the recruiting scene, especially local.

Here's to a strong senior year academically and on court...
