Let's hope that's the reason...because if he misses significant time that's a big blow. You know what's weird? Under Lavin we were almost injury free. I remember thinking that and then we caught the injury bug after his tenure was over.

REDWHITECLUBEVENT thread, page 7
Zeeland

Champ on crutches with a boot. Turn my volume up on computer and screen could barely hear the announcers. They got away from the game in 2nd half. Would have liked to hear players names (did a good job in 1st half) but were just shooting the breeze. Good one towards the end of the second half. Repeated "what a great pass, what a great pass". Didn't say who finished the play nor who made the great pass.."

Now was Zeeland making that up? No idea, I couldn't watch.

Just to clarify. At end of game the teams was in the center of the court. Camera show a pretty big kid on crutches and boot moving to the center circle to join the team. I am assuming but unless there is an injured manager hanging around would have to be him.

Hope under the CMA admin, they are straightforward. If Julian is hurt significantly as crutches and boot suggests, just admit it. But then Zach says he's fine. Which is true?

Even if he is fine, I'd keep him out until b.c., why risk him aggravating it against teams we should beat without him?

Athletes wear boots even on day of game for precautionary reasons. Wouldn't read too much into it. That said who knows severity of injury without official announcement and even then will just have to wait and see.

Could have been Jalen Rosemond, a walk-on, who practiced with the team last year (sat behind the bench at home games) and is on the roster this year. He is listed as being 6'8" as has buffed up some from last year. I don't recall him getting on the court yesterday (although as I mentioned on the thread, I only saw bits and pieces of the scrimmage) while Artemios Gavalas, the other walk-on, did see some time.

Why do you turn everything into a Conspiracy Theory??? The injury is not that bad and he may only be wearing a boot for protection and to keep weight off of his ankle.
Now hearing he should be ready for game 1 and mostly precautionary. Let's hope!
Boots immediately after an injury are typically precautionary just to get as much healing ASAP. Even the most severe ankle sprains heal pretty quickly and with frequent PT and taping he should be good to go within days to a couple weeks

Mike brings a certain "Devil's Advocate" perspective to this board. Which, IMO, is greatly needed. Yeah he tends to beat a dead horse from time to time, but no more so then some of the cockeyed optimists on the board. I, for one, have come to appreciate his contributions. Long live Mike Zaun!!!

People who typically plays Devil's Advocate does it intentionally to provoke another view on things. Let's say he's not exactly playing Devil's Advocate. ;)

I wouldn't say it's a conspiracy. In the recent past we were told LoVett was day to day and he never played again. But I heard from a reliable source close to the program tonight that he will be ready for game 1, so that makes me feel much better. And Maher, I haven't seen any of those but now I feel like I have to LOL...the last one is already factual.
