:headphones: I always find parking on Union Turnpike and you skip the mad rush after the game. Try Acqivista Tratorria on Union Turnpike and 178th St. The food is good!

complete pass for CM this year as he inherited a program that was an unmitigated disaster with no direction whose shortcomings and ineptitudes were masked by an underachieving team that went one and done in the NCAAs last year - but he is shaping a monster in Jamaica. The program's brightest days are ahead. The financial support is there and they are running this like a big time program. The starved SJU fan base is really in for a treat. Sit back and enjoy the ride. These days are important. A tremendous foundation is being put in place. Let's go Redmen!!

A-MEN! Just look at what is already in place for next year. I don't want to throw this season under the bus, this team is going to need the support of the students and fan base. I'm hoping we don't see an empty and tame arena if the losses start piling up.

this year is a pass vs the big boys, but i think we all expect wins from lower tier D1 schools. Go Johnnies!!!

@SJU_SAAC: Come out to @StJohnsBBall's home opener tonight and see how they take a stand. #ItsOnUs

Someone in law library?

What kind of estrogen filled buffoon cares about their "karma" on redmen.com?

He was out no matter what as I reported around this time last year. You had a bunch of "scoops" last year that never happened. I hope you stick to your day job.

Great story on how Mullin put staff together;

Awesome article.

The first call came for Barry Rohrssen while Kentucky’s charter jet sat on the tarmac in Cleveland in the wee hours of March 29.
Mullin was hired on the 30th.
Do the math.
Guess who was actually correct for once?

By the way, thanks for playing.

That WHAT was true at the time? That Lavin was getting an extension?? How do you figure that??

And once again, Francesa (or his producer, Brian Monzo) likely got it from a single member of Lavin's "camp" who was peddling that message. That member of Lavin's camp had also fooled other members of the media, including Andy Katz. Fact of the matter is that barring a run into the NCAA Tournament, he was gone. We also heard from Lavin's people during the post-season negotiation process that the reason Lavin wouldn't be back is because of a "mutual parting" that more had to do with the fact that they couldn't agree on a buyout on his extension.

He got fired. When he sends out his copy-and-paste mass text messages to SJU "boosters" or his supporters, he even SAYS he got fired in those texts. You are ignoring all facts that even the man himself admits at this point.

there will be some cool stuff for fans . Everyone is getting a commemorative ticket at the game with mullin's pic on it etc. School paid a lot of money for that. Plus I think the 1st 500 people get posters

Get there early

Totally disregarding the bickerfest between you and Avon...I just want a little clarity on what you think the article proves. Yes, the article proves Mullin was considering the job on the 29th. Mullin was hired on the 30th. Lavin was fired on the 27th While the dates are getting super close together, how does this prove that Lavin was only fired once Mullin showed interest? If anything this proves Mullin was still unsure of whether he wanted to accept before talking to a couple of guys, meaning when Lavin was fired it was not a done deal with Mullin yet.

I admittedly have no recollection of what you and Avon disagreed about back then, so if I have wrong on what you are arguing, my apologies.
