Bottom line is if you play a soft non conference schedule and lose to the 2 best teams on your schedule by double digits at least for now you are a fraud.
When you play in a league like The Big East, your OOC schedule is supposed to be challenging enough to prepare you for league play. Even if you lose a couple of games to high quality opponents. Our OOC did not even come close to preparing us for league play.

Anderson needs to re-think his rotations. Posh needs to be our starting PG. He is incapable of being a 2G. Those who like Curbelo's game and say we have to live with his being out of control from time to time are wrong. Curbelo should be Posh's backup at PG, nothing more nothing less. I'm not sure who should be the 2G, but it should not be Wusu. I lean towards Storr, but Mathis has played fairly well also. Jones at the SF. I'm not a big fan of Jones out of control play, and his hoisting ridiculus 3 point shots, but our choices are limited. Wusu is too up and down to be anything but a backup.Omar Stanley at the 4. Soriano's rebounding stats are a little misleading. Nobody else rebounds. If Soriano doesn't get the rebound nobody does. He needs help on the boards and I think he would get that help from Stanley. For this to happen Anderson neds to balance the floor better with scorers, defensive stoppers and rebounders. It would also be nice if he sat players playing out of control, selfish, hero style basketball. Of course in this game he would have had to bench most of the team.

I would give Pinzon some of Wusu’s minutes also just based on his ability to shoot. Wusu just has a very low basketball IQ and it’s been killing us this year.
Now that we are no longer playing cupcakes I doubt we see much of Pinzon. I would like to see one game where Wusu does not steamroll an opposing player. I do think Storr should get more playing time at Wusu's expense. If for no other reason than to give him more experience. He is clearly talented.

Take away Storr's 3-5 from 3 and rest of team was 3-20 for 15%. Why recruit that shooter Reede if you guys are so worried about Storr's D because I doubt Reede is a defensive wizard. Maybe start Storr and his confidence will grow.

Storr cannot guard the 2

I did and I promise you the result would not have been any different if Storr played 40 minutes. He hit some some shots — mostly early — but was schooled on defense.
Who wasn’t schooled on defense? Soriano the main culprit giving up 18 points. The entire team is fundamentally unsound on both ends of the court. Might as well develops the kid with the most up side.

No getting around it this was a bad effort tonight. That said, let's not be shocked that we lost at a place we haven't won at since 1993. If our terrific elite eight team of Artest, Barkley, Thornton, Postell and Grant lost at the Finneran Pavilion you can't be surprised that this group got beat there. It is just one loss, but the fear is that this is a portend of things to come.

There is plenty to be concerned about tonight's performance but I, for one, can't say if this is who we are or if this was just a bad night. So far we have had two bad performances on the road and over the next five games we will have to play at Seton Hall and at Providence in addition to home games with Xavier, Marquette and Butler. I think after those games we will have a clearer picture of how we stack up in the conference. We have not started well in conference play for a while though and it would be really bad if we repeated that pattern again this year.

We talked in year one about how Heron and LJ both saw their offensive games go down.

Last year it was Julian, and this year it's been Posh.

That many guys regressing in a short period of time, can not just be the fault of the kids. Coaches have to take responsibility for that, but I've talked enough in the past about Anderson's shortcomings as an offensive head coach.

This team has some talent(although not nearly as much as some of you think), and this team may have some depth, but this team does not have a balanced roster and does not consist of players who compliment each other. And we had better hope and pray that Soriano stays healthy all season, because if he's out for any period of time, our season is over.

Let’s be honest. I don’t think Anderson is a particularly good coach. But don’t think he is a moron. Unless you are a moron of Norm proportions you look at this team and realize Storr one of best 5 players at least. Eventually has to start, might as well do it now.

I don't think you should be calling Boo Harvey a moron. ;) :) :ROFLMAO:

Curbelo, Mathis, Jones, Storr and Soriano should start next game. Posh needs to come off the bench until he gets his head back.
