Again, your entire argument for why Posh wasn’t good was because he shot 25% from 3 on 2 shots per game. Jenkins is shooting 24.6% and takes more than twice as many shots and you love him? It makes no sense. Nobody on this forum would say Jenkins is the better defender…even you couldn’t say that. They are both wild distributors with similar flaws there. So where is this major upgrade?

We were up 15 when Jenkins was 1-6 from the field. We won this game in spite of his shooting. He actually had the ball in his hands way less than usual today and it looked to be by design.

People are either going to be okay with a guy shooting 24% from 3 doing a step-back without making an effort to get any teammates involved or they are going to hate it. It’s really not a mystery.

Take 5 less shots a game and everyone would shut up.
 
You know who was the first guy to leap off the bench to celebrate the dagger 3 by Brady and who Brady turned to scream at - his biggest booster Wilcher. Says a ton about Simeon.

Wilchers day will come. I think in a cameo he threw the 1st half alley oop to Zuby.

Would love that these day become the core in a year or two.

Zuby no stiff as was hibted at here. Two ferocious blocks and a slam in 4 1st half minutes. Yea he was overmatched by Dixon in a brief 2nd half run but he is rapidly improving.

They'll go 13-7 in the B.E. They're 3-1, gotta sweep G-Town and DePaul, that's 7-1.
They just gotta go 6-6 vs. everyone else.

Thinking like that, I believe we can do better then 6-6.
Imagine atleast 14-6 in Rick's first season at SJU coach? (and no I won't put Stj)

We are fortunate to have Rick Pitino as our HC for all that be brings to the table with recruiting, player development and game time preparation.
And “ we’ve only just begun “

Jenkins is one of the best players on the tram. Posh is riding the pine in crunch for his crappy team. This debate is over. Accept jenkins is a much better pg then posh and move on. Its apparant to everyone but you.

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES……..

I know I’m late to the party but just got home from a show and diner. My wife had to take the phone away from me during the show because I kept checking the score. At about 3:00PM midway through the first act and knowing the game was over I snatched my phone back checked the score and let out a big YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS. Unfortunately it came at a serious part of the show and aside from my wife being mortified, several people stared me down. But F it, it was worth it….. WHAT A WIN. 😎👍

Maybe we will win those games you say we won’t if he misses those. We all see he takes more shots than he probably should. But we most also see the better parts of his game that should be lauded as well.

The reality for those who are fixated on Jenkins is this .
Pitino has given him the keys to the Season . There is nothing that anyone on the Site can do to alter that .

Jenkins has received the Pitino Blessing that few earn in RP ‘s career . Get used to it .

If you look at the final Box Score , Jenkins has a lot of the boxes filled with good numbers .

Harping on his 3 point shooting or the shots he takes really doesn’t matter to Pitino , so why does it matter to the few on here who want to run it again and again like a broken record .

At this time the last few years we were caught between Depression and Denial. It is nice now to be between anticipation and joy. I said months ago we will be so much better come February and I think we will still be improving more. Dunlap is ahead of schedule, Jenkins will distribute more (he is more of AI than Chris Paul) Wilcher will get his time so he will be ready to contribute in march and the rest of the team will all continue to gel and play better as a team. We should all enjoy this season there are great things ahead.
