One small thing that can easily be overlooked that could play in our favor is that Villanova plays tonight against Xavier. This gives our staff a chance to see Villanova in action live against a team that we have already played. The ability to see that this early in conference play is a somewhat hidden advantage for a great staff.

I’m no tactician but , would it make sense to put Ledlum on Dixon , rather than Soriano , to lessen fouls trouble for Joel ?

Ledlum has the size and strength to handle Dixon in my estimation . But. ,I’m sure RP has thought about a thousand different schemes to use against Dixon and the Cats .

This is the first time in my life we have played Villanova where we actually have the coaching advantage. So hopefully that leads us to victory. I remember last year looking up our record in our last 25 against Villanova and I am pretty sure it is like 3-22 or something.

Truly believe we are a better team than Nova. They only go about 7-8 deep and they don't shoot well. I'll take Soriano over Dixon any day. Ledlum's physicality can neutralize Burton. They've got some decent guards in Moore and Bamba, but I think our depth and length on the wing will give them fits. Luis is a matchup nightmare for them. We're starting to round into form and I believe we'll make a statement.

Nova has been going 7-8 deep for several years and won two championships that way. They usually don't foul much. Moore is much better than a "decent guard". He would have been in NBA now if not for his injury.

That said, agree we are rounding into form and can win this one if we play as well as we did vs UCONN. Keep Nova off the free throw line as much as possible will be key. Play smart and focused to win this one.

We literally had Apollo Creeds trainer coaching the team the last 4 seasons. What an embarrassment that TV caught it vs. Xavier. His first year with Dunn and Rutherford his best!
Anyway, happy Slick is here. I remember when they beat Nova down in Philly in Lavs first year. Good crowd went down. I remember nova fans leaving this one big lady said bye Nova Nation in my section . Nova fan turned around said bye Rosie O’Donell . Brutal burn. Great weekend Picked up some scuts at McFaddens they went to Temple and stayed at the Embassy Suites. Hit $350 on a machine in AC at the Trop then blew it on a big booty Latina at Stillettos!

I'm going to this game. My best friend from high school is a nova grad and his family has owned season tickets for years (his dad also went there)

Nice of them to lend me one of the tickets for this one. I wonder if they'll regret that I'm there if we come out with a win

We beat Nova and PC definitely feel that deserves a trip to Ricks Cabaret after the PC game. I’ve been good thru the holidays! . Then again that traveling club in the city might be better if we win the next two!

It’s worst than that of you go back to the last time we won at the Pavilion. Since that victory at then DuPont Pavilion Mahoney’s first season, we’ve gone 11-39 overall against Villanova.

Let’s just say it was more $350 she wasn’t much when it came to dancing! That’s what makes road games awesome! We should schedule a non conference in Vegas or BW Hall.
