Villanova (MSG), Sat., Jan. 11 , 7p, CBSSN

Guys, realize that most of us are fossils (I’m class of ‘68), but Louie was the head of the committee that officially changed our name to Red Storm in June of 1994. We’re going on 21 years now, and it’s time it’s time to consign the Redmen name to the dustbins of history, along with the wooden cigar store Indian we used to lug around.
31 years ago we switched from Redmen to Red Storm, but we've always had our alternate "JOHNNIES"

My son wants me to record and wait till he comes home from work at 10 to watch tonight's game.

Brutal for me.

Ill watch nfl playoffs in the meantime.
So my sister turned 70 and there was a dinner Saturday night. I DVR'd the game.

CBS Sportsnet, such b.s., so when I went to watch it, they had SH Providence instead for over ten minutes, and joined our game with about 7 minutes gone by and a 19-19 score.

Then I have to listen to Lappas talking about going to the 40th reunion of their 1985 team, he was an assistant to Rollie. Quietly rooting for Nova.

So the block I DVR'd was 7-9PM, but of course, these games go over, so instead of seeing the whole game it cuts off with 3 minutes to go and the score still very close.

I should have DVR'd for 7-9:30 PM, but not seeing the first 7 minutes stunk. I did not need to see the end of a bad SH-Providence game.

Leaving 2 hour blocks for the games is silly, they go at least 2:15 in most cases without OT.

Semantics.
Does Donohue select Neptune if his name wasn’t submitted by Wright?

He was there as a top assistant for several years, knew the culture and the laying the land. Does he get it or not, maybe, maybe not but he would have received strong consideration.

Noticed the team took part in a handshake line following this game. Did CRP have a change of heart? (Apologies if this was discussed somewhere on the past 65 pages.)

Was it a line or something more impromptu. After the Xavier game, some players shook/slapped hands and the quick hug but it was out on the court, not a line and not organized.

I get the history. He was video coordinator there for 2 years before being elevated to assistant. I would compare him to Mahoney moreso than Norm.

I usually block games for an hour over to cover possible double OT or some long delay.

14-14 Fordham, but yes still better than either.
They were 16-16/8-10 in Atlantic-10, which for that program is a huge success. Their first .500 season in five years, and second in 15 years. Urgo built on it after that initial year but things are trending back in its typical direction.

A success compared to the other two.

You said it wasn’t a popular view but again he didn’t cook him enough. We can all find faults in any players game. Nobody plays a perfect game but best guy on the court was RJ tonight!!
Not just an unpopular view, perhaps an uninformed view.

He rebounds very well, he dives for loose balls, he alters shots, he presses the inbounds passer forcing turnovers and poor play up the court, now was not the time to bring up real or perceived flaws.

Without RJ this year, St. John's would be near the bottom of the Big East standings.
