Villanova Game

What about that exchange between Lavin and Wright... didn't seem too friendly. . Maybe I'm reading into it

Wright has won 11 of the last 12 games against StJohn's.

StJohn's has a losing Big East record under Lavin's tenure.

The only hope we have for next year is if Jordan gets his head on straight and stays and Obepka stays also.

The exchange between Lav and Wright was a little strange. Lab says something to Wright and the smile left his face immediately. He the said you're f'ing crazy and they walked away from each other

I saw it. Didn't think it was unfriendly. At one point Jay Wright threw his head back and laughed. I saw it as genuine humor. But it could have also been sarcasm. I don't think we'll ever know what was said.

Wow! I didn't catch that from Wright. Interesting.

Strategy:
JDR sooner to back up CO. So we dont lose out later.

Again. My man. DLo!!!
No one can keep you down. Elbow to face and all!!
Realman!

So easy to root for these guys.

Game watching is rough.

Cowboy pants time. Season not over.

Lav: "What is that weird cloth thing around your neck?"
Wright: "Mmm... it's called a tie"

Last place, 0-3 with two home losses. Peaking in February Part II perhaps.
Gonna be hard to do that when you only play 6 guys.

I was being sarcastic, sorry.
How does it get to the point where you only have a 6-man rotation? Especially when only one of them is taller than 6-6?

I've never seen this in my life watching St. John's or college basketball in general. Not without sanctions or something like that.

Very disheartening. More so for the seniors, but also for us fans. You can't win at this level without a little depth (can't play only 6), or any rebounding. Hard to watch, and it looked so promising just a few days ago. I think Lavin MUST play a few of the bench guys more, get them in the rotation, even for 7 or 8 minutes a game, and he has to get more size in, even if it means a little less offense. Most of the time we only have 1 or 2 guys who score consistently anyway.

I am sorry but unless we start to land some real recruits we will not be good next year even with those two. The lineup will be Jordan, Daughty and either Stewart or Henderson in the backcourt with Obekpa, Amar and if we are lucky ADR up front. That is probably a bottom three team.

Is it Lavin's fault that half of our fouls came on ticky tacky plays that had no impact on the play?

It is his fault that this game was over when pointer, who isn't even a forward naturally, fouls out of the game because he is our only tall player after obekpa.

It is his fault that Christian jones and Amar aren't even options cause he decided against giving them time to develop against mid majors in OOC.

It is his fault that he is wasting away DLos senior season because he decided against giving him some help on the recruiting trail.

Lavin moved Pointer to a forward this year, and he has been playing the best basketball of his career. Do you want to criticize him for that too?
