Villanova Game

Scary to admit but I think the X factor today is PGIV. Over the past two months I've softened my stance on him because he is an above average spot up shooter! Once he starts dribbling from side to side we are in trouble but if Jordan and Branch can create a shot for him we may be looking at 3 made field goals from deep from him.

You know how many times we lost early this season and were 1/10 2/10 from 3 pt range and lost by a few points? The old school guys won't want to admit it but an extra 3 here and there sometimes makes the difference. It is worth noting against Penn State and Xavier we shot the ball great from deep. But most of our losses we were dreadful. Get to the ft line, hit your wide open looks from 3. All starts and ends with penetration from the Prince.

I"m guessing we see Hooper playing a big and getting help. If a guy fouls, I hope it's him.

It is amazing how some poster seemingly fantasize over Hooper.

I actually think Bourgault is a much more capable player than hooper within our system and should be looked to fist. Bourgault is better at getting his shot off, off the dribble. He's also a better ball handler/passer and can actually function in a sf role. He gets few minutes at all, but has been efficient when in the game. Hooper is purely a set shooter. If he's open, he'll make it but doesn't offer all too much else.

And cannot play defense if his life depended on it.

Should we lose this game will the committee cut us some slack since we were not at full strength. Want them to win but without
keys guys it will be a very arduous 2 players are going to have to have an exceptional game

We need to play this game in 5 minute increments, and certainly not let it get away from us early. Big crowd expected, we may be shorthanded, so poise is key.

great start to the day with FS1, they preempted the start of the GTown Xavier game for some car crap

Yep. Here we go again. And I don't get FS2, without paying a premium for it, on Cablevision.

And they're showing NASCAR practice on FS1! Not even the real race!

The key is for Gift and Sampson to stay out of foul trouble. Dom will be rotated in at th 4 to spell those 2 and help prevent them fouling out. Regarding Sheed fouling out ,Branch is very capable at the 1 if Sheed gets 2 fouls early, although hope that doesnt happen. We will play a 3 guard line up rotating our 4 guards.Maybe well get lucky and CO could provide some valuable minutes.
