Villanova- Game 2

can Nova be held to under 110? Sheesh. They're good. Even with Obepka, a tough task, without him, the paint was a disaster as the game went on.

And yeah, Christian Jones...this game is too lopsided to blame any one player, but he has been quite a disappointment.

Joey ain't much, didn't expect much. His positioning in the offense early in the game helped lead to about three three pointers, but that was about all worth mentioning.

OK I was trying to figure out who is the worst between Jones, AA and JD. It is Jones.

Tough call. Joey gets my vote, has more experience being lousy.

Jones by a mile. Nova made their run with him out there. He just can't rebound and it brings team rebounding down exponentially.

Unless he's a great student and teammate, it may be worth having a sit down with him at season's end about his options.

Amar shouldn't have been pulled for over-hedging. He is the only guy with a shot to slow down Uchefu.
Can't imagine Jones being here next season.

Listen, I can understand not having talent , but he looks like he is moving in slow motion
Guess we all agree. Jones is not a D1 player.

Keith Thomas would have made us a really tough team & we would not have to discuss J&J. On to Providence.

Yeah and I am sure we are being too hard on the 10th man and a lot of the anger is misdirected, however watching him play does make me angry

Very frustrating loss, considering the way we came out of the gate. But it is what it is.

Beat Providence!

Yup, felt same & switched to Xavier game. :)

It's easy to get 100pnts when all you have to do is dump the ball low and let them get their layups. I guess they are shaq huh? smhhh

You know that is true. In the back of my mind, I hold him partly responsible for losing Amir Garrett. That kid was a warrior and one of my favorite players. I never saw a kid sacrifice his body more and hit the deck harder or more often than Garrett.

You're not kidding, Paultz. How would Gathers look on this team. Jones effectively assumed that scholarship after Gathers decommitted three years ago.

And that my friends is why Marquette was a must-win, even though some were disagreeing. I think losing up there combined with getting shelled today would have made us borderline in the eyes of the committee if we followed those games up with a loss in the first game of the BET.

Just glad we won at Marquette. Now is actually a great time for coach's yoga -- get this game out of their system as soon as possible.

Not fair to dump on these under talented players.. WHO BROUGHT THEM HERE UNDER THE GUISE OF them being BE Players? Steverino!

THOMAS? Also on Lavin, if Lavinwood would due diligence these kids, we wouldn't be putting eggs in a basket with no bottom..

LOUIE'S PASTA WON'T GO DOWN well tonite. I DON'T RECALL OUR GUYS EVER GIVING UP A 100 UNDER LC.

And, a big s--t sandwich to Jay Wright for piling on. I HOPE STEVE HAS THE BALLS TO TELL HIM TO SHOVE IT Up HIS a s.. I doubt Lavin has the onions!

No excuse to lose by 40. Pathetic. What a waste driving to this disaster.

Gimme a break. We rested 1/3 of our already short rotation on the road. What did you expect?

#1 goal we all agreed was to come out healthy. Branch and Obekpa get several days rest. Nobody injured. The game was essentially meaningless for us.

I didn't mean to thank you on this post. Miserable.
You've been quiet lately.
You know what's also on Lavin? 21 wins and an NCAA tournament berth. Good day to you--if that's even possible.

Next time we met them it will mean something.

Time to let the Keith Thomas thing go now.

. . . as you scramble to the Fire Lavin thread as fast as humanly possible.

Of the things that need to be let go, KT is close to last on the list.
