Villanova- Game 2

I actually said early on that we are better off with 4 guys than playing this De La Rosa, and it bodes veryyy true now. We don't play Obekpa or Branch to save them, but we play a kid who is a liability on offense, defense, and to his own teammates on a simple rebound.
 
Whether it is passed inside or dribbled inside, we have no ability to resist.
I guess that's why they only have 2 conference losses
 
Love to win this game, but we are playing with house money.
 
The offense is starting to struggle now. We need a couple of big shots.
 
On offense, Harrison has been stuffed twice, Pointer had an in and out, Jordan's three at the end of half was in and out, Harrison had ball taken away..
So it's not just the thin bench. Our core had a hot streak and now the percentages and the breaks are swinging the other way.
 
Lavin put gel in his hair at the half. That's the halftime adjustment.

. We are undermanned because Lavin is thinking big picture and trying to get the team healthy for the games that really matter. I wanted us to go full throttle but I certainly understand the decision he made.
 
We are hanging tough. This is a good Novs team and we have no answer for their big men.
 
We miss two threes.
They hit two.
Suddenly it's no longer a close game.

I knew this game was for all intents and purposes meaningless, but I so badly wanted to give Nova their only home loss. Beginning to think that will not be happening now.
