I am going to give Lavin a compliment. There is a reason he does not want to play these guys. At least Balamou has stepped up today with four points.

Yes, we should always give up on freshmen like AA early. If he can't play like a senior out of the gate, we don't want him here...
 
Our denfense has been a little ragged. Need to tighten it up if we want to stay with them
 
we cant have Balamou and jones on the court at the same time... dont have the same defensive principles as the rest of the team.
 
Unfortunately I can't see us winning this one. But without branch to help with the offense when it gets stagnant and without obkepa to help on defense, I'm proud of this team and their effort in this one.

Hope we win, if not, I am dying for a rematch in BET with our full team
 
I haven't seen Jordan this intense for a prolonged period in any game.
He must really want a win back in his brotherly love city.
It's nive to see some passion and desire reflected in his energy and positioning to control the offense.

He is not ready to compete at this level at this time. He will have plenty of chances in the year to come. Jones is a redshirt sophomore, what's his excuse?
 
Lavin is doing best he can shuffling bodies against high quality team on road. Doubt we can sustain this pace. Just hope we don't get blown out like last game. If we do, so be it. This team can make some noise going forward.

Said it before but it's really very simple. Our inexperienced bigs need to hedge just long enough to cover the three off the screen and then get their butts back to cover the screener rolling into the lane. If they do that the offside defender can stay at home and they'll stop getting the open threes. Lavine needs to get this fixed at the half.
Then we'll have a fighting chance and our only enemy will be exhaustion for our four guards.

Every single player is leaving it all on the floor, end of story. From AA to D'Lo everyone is showing heart. I got a feeling. We are going to take this one home.
 
Let's not forget our bench players, rarely used, are on the court with one of the top four or five teams in the country. The flaws in their defensive capabilities are going to show. Hopefully today's game, win or lose, may benefit the entire team.
 
We're down 2 of our core players, playing the #4 team in the nation, who is making almost everything...and we are down 4 at half...especially cause we are now def playing with house money...i'll take it.

I'm going to sit back and enjoy the second half, hope DLo and Greene get hot from 3 like last game, and hopefully we make a game out of this!
