While we all be rooting and hoping for a win against Butler and Creighton there is no way that will happen based on the way the team is playing right now.

just not good enough to compete on the road with these schools. Creighton will smoke us by 15-20 and Butler will pull out a close one because of our continued inability to shoot and play 4 point shot defense.

Do you realize that for more than half the game we outscored seton hall 60-33? This was by far out most dominant run outside of the Fordham game, where everything went right. A lot of our parts played well, but foul trouble was the key to the lead dissipation.

foul trouble; missed layups, missed jump shots and missed foul shots. Our problem is we can not shot anywhere near consistently.

Beating Creighton, with the most experienced starting five in the country, in front of 17000 screaming fans will be a nearly impossible task. The margin of error is pretty close to zero for that game.

Butler is a tough game, man. The Big East this year is unforgiving. I think they are far better than what their record indicates, but they played a tough conference schedule early and lost an incredible amount of close games. I think we can pull it off if we contain Dunham and somebody can match Khyle Marshall's contributions. He is the anti-Dom...kills it on the offensive glass and always plays within his limited game.

The way I see it, we have to sweep Butler, Marquette, and SH while losing no more than one game at home and stealing a fourth road win somewhere else (Providence, Nova?)

Normally I'd be ecstatic with a split at these 2 venues but due to the circumstances we are in right now, I wouldn't be happy with just a split here. My expectation going into this season was NCAA tournament and anything short of that would be a disaster. We have 5 conference losses and realistically we have 2 losses in conference to go before we most likely don't have any chance at an at-large. We put ourselves in a huge hole and now we have to get out of it. Need both of these wins.
 
The game is televised on FSN National. I'm not familiar with that station. Any idea what channel that is? I have FIOS. Many thanks

I have Dish. It's listed on 3 or 4 of the local Fox Sports Affiliates, like Fox Sport Arizona or Fox Sports Mountain West. I don't think there is a FSN National station.

I'm as optimistic as anyone that we can win any single conference game remaining. However, winning 10 of 12 remaining are such long odds, it shouldn't even be on the table for discussion. If we get to 5-5 and merely have the tall order of winning 6 of 8 remaining, we begin to enter the realm of possibility, and even then the odds would be against. But I appreciate your enthusiasm - I'm guessing you were one of the faithful in the student section..

I'm not enthusiastic about our chances, in fact I think our coach has done an absolutely brutal job with this group and should be fired if we don't make the NCAA tournament. What I meant is that we have dug ourselves in a deep hole which has rendered virtually every game to be a must-win. I don't think we will win both of these games or finish 11-7 in conference, I'm just saying that's what we have to do to make the tournament and if we don't this season will be an complete failure.

I hope you are wrong but that is pretty much the line. They will have penciled in a W beside our name and will be looking to get their season right-sided and win 2 of 3. Contain Kellen Dunham and we have a chance.

Incredibly they have played four OT games in the BE this yr, losing three... So aside from Creighton on the road, they have not been blown out in any of the six losses.

I still think we win no more than 5 BE games this year. Would love to be wrong...
