Terry Bross played hard but not at the level of Ty Grant.Terry Bross also pitched in MLB with the Mets and Giants.
And not a day goes that he’s not sorely missed and fondly remembered! Never forgotten and always in our hearts!I can't believe Avery Patterson played here almost 20 years ago. Time flies by.
While we actually played three forward, Polee payed the center role on defense.Brownlee started at center

You could be right but my memory says otherwise.Completely disagree
I’m only going off memory as well. So same holds true you could be right. You could be right but my memory says otherwise.
Long time ago but I kind of remember Polee starting at least the first couple of games at center. But that didn't last long as he only wound up averaging 15 mpg and never really came into his own for us. Did better his junior and senior years for San Diego State. You could be right but my memory says otherwise.
He started pretty much the whole season (27 games) I just don’t believe he was playing the center role over Brownlee in that group.Long time ago but I kind of remember Polee starting at least the first couple of games at center. It’s not outlandish to think he can shoot…he has shown flashes…unfortunately, right now, he needs to be able to gather himself in which case he is pretty reliable…most of his bad shooting nights have been instances where he takes shots off dribble or rushes to get it off. Pitino has said as much and his teammates acknowledge his shooting ability. So, there is an ability…it just requires him to have time..hopefully he can develop a more reliable quick trigger.People can like whoever they want. Carmine liked Avery Patterson. Mase JR liked Mase JR. Marillac liked Geno. Those were 3 of the worst players we have ever had.
People can like Dunlap. The Dunlap can shoot thing is what confounds me. At this point if people claimed he was the he best dunker on the team I would be more ok with that.
He started a lot but didn't play starters minutes. He started pretty much the whole season (27 games) I just don’t believe he was playing the center role over Brownlee in that group.
Unfortunately I have a bad memory, 1987 NCAA second rd at DePaul. Up 4 points with 15 seconds to go, Bross fails to block out on 3 point attempt by Kevin Edwards. Comegys gets easy rebound/putback as Bross commits half hearted foul. Just simply back away and let him score don’t foul. This led to infamous Comegys missed FT lane violation that was never called. Rod Strickland rebounds and layup sends game to OT where we lose. The sweet 16 and a trip to Riverfront Coliseum vs Dale Brown’s LSU Tigers pissed away.Terry Bross played hard but not at the level of Ty Grant.
My memory says Frank Alagia was a good undersized center for us actually my long term memory is pretty good it's my short term memory that has gone downhill. What were we talking about again? You could be right but my memory says otherwise.

This is where short term memory lapses come in handy. What happened? The college football selection show.. your thoughts
Will definitely trust your memory over mine. I just remember him starting out good for us and being a much heralded recruit for Lavin but getting less and less minutes as the season wore on and transferring out after one year.He started pretty much the whole season (27 games) I just don’t believe he was playing the center role over Brownlee in that group.

While Brownlee did start for most of the season, IIRC it was not a center. Brownlee was “wider” but Polee was the taller, more athletic and the better leader (the guy could sky).I’m only going off memory as well. So same holds true you could be right.
Struggling to see Polee as the choice there, in fact I think it would definitely be DJ before it got to him. Not sure we’ve had a skinnier freshmen than Polee
