Uconn game thread

Uk and Cuse the toughest for sure. Uconn a close third, but you're right, it is a tough game. Down 13 at the half not optimal, but we're in it and foul situation not horrible. Gotta mix things up a bit in the second.

I actually like our chances against Duke, call me crazy, but you're right. I do think UScum is a harder matchup than the Cuse. Just too much experience and too much length. Syracuse will be far from a walk in the park, without a doubt.

I hate to even re-open this can of worms, but I can't help but think about how much of a difference having Polee would make. Sucks....

More then Polee; the loss of Sampson and Pelle hurt with height and depth.

Let's focus on what this team is....not what this team is not or what we hope it is.

I only brought up Polee because he actually wore our uniform. He was "real" to me. The other guys, to me at least, can......well, you get the idea. This is a family board, I don't want to write down what they should get.

the Johnnies shot selection has nothing to do with the fact that UCONN has all the advantages... there have been way too many quick jumpers that are far off the mark..working the ball around the perimeter should result in some better looks.. shooting 25% is not a happy day..

we do know there will be blowouts this year and this game is likely amongst them but, still, learning can be accomplished in a game like this..

to me, everything should flow thru Harkless sort of like a point foward like Mullin was in the NBA..

that's not to compare the 2, just a style. a good start to 2nd half to get it under 10 should be the goal.

Cuse is even taller, longer and with a lot more depth than Uconn. We are going to be scary good starting hext season though, if Lavin can make something of this 2012 recruiting class. It's easy to see how good our freshmen will be as they grow with this team over the next few years. We're down but I'm encouraged by the court savy overall of our young team. Our length is causing problems for Uconn. Uconn has just made all ther shots over it. We have to be conservative on D because of our depth problems. Our limitations on our roster are holding us back, but every kid Lavin brought in is a gamer. Lindsey would have helped a tin in a game like this he with his ability to penetrate, but that's in the past.

Phil Greene needs to be more aggressive with the ball in his hands. He needs to penetrate more. He looks good when he does. It will take time for him to get to that level of confidence.

Yeah....pretty much agree with this 100 percent. I'm not discouraged in the least.

Going to work out. Play nice, boys.

Another bogus foul on Garrett.  They should call Olander for traveling twice!

That could be another Sportscenter top 10 right there!

Down 54-41. Pointer to the line for one shot following timeout.

Napier killing us with his dishing and Uconn not missing a shot.  Uconn just too much size and depth. Their pg play has really been phenomenal with Napier.
