TV Watching & Cord Cutting

Speaking of The Walking Dead... Am I the only one that hates this whole Negan story line? I found the past season fairly boring.
first half of the season I didnt likee that much but I liked the 2nd half

Homeland same thing. 1st half was boring 2nd half I liked a lot.

Loved Billions this season

Super Bummed that Game of Thrones will only be 7 episodes this season because 2 or 3 of the episodes last season were some of my favorite ever

Best thing about last season of WD was about 2 seconds of the Tiger going to battle. Then the season ended...

Homeland was really good for a while but I ended up getting bored with it. Did not know that about GOT. Too bad!

BTW the Homeland/Billions guy (Damian Lewis) had a great "brilliant but cancelled" show called Life. Worth a watch if you never saw it.

I'll check it out. He is a good actor. Loved him as Winters on Band of Brothers which is one of my favorite things on tv ever

I watch Homeland and Billions (love both)
Didn't realize until recently that Damian Lewis is British
Same applies to Matthew Rhys (plays Phillip) on The Americans

Has anyone watched A French Village which is a French television drama series set in German-occupied France during the Second World War? I think it now on Hulu.

BTW Paul you're the tech guy here. What do you think of the show ' Silicon Valley " ? That show cracks me up

Fuchsia's comment about Breaking Bad applies here.

The highlight of my week was finding Street Outlaws on YouTube. I miss my Alaska, Gold, fishing and redneck themed American shows.

Saw this massive list today of returning summer shows. Most of them I don't recognize but a few mentioned in this thread.

Also I didn't mention this one but saw it on the list. My wife and I watched it and it was pretty good:
Queen of the South (USA Network cartel, drugs etc)

Other notable and previously mentioned:
Preacher (AMC, Season 2 starts June 25/26)
July 16:
Game of Thrones (HBO, Season 7)
The Strain (FX, Season 4; not sure I mentioned this one previously but I'd give it a thumbs up)
August 18:
Marvel’s The Defenders (Netflix, new miniseries)
August 25:
The Tick (Amazon Prime, new series looks good to me)

and for gman, Alaskan Bush People season 7 (Discovery) June 14 !

For Sopranos fans and especially for those who understand the Napolitano dialect a must watch is the Italian TV series Gommorah which is now on Sundance but Season 1 is available on Netflix.

I can't wait until June 22 - the first broadcast of the "new" Gong Show
I hope they have a new Gene Gene the Dancing Machine

So you want them to catch crabs?

Hand of God starring Ron Perlman. He's always good. I've watched a few episodes. gritty psychological/mystical mystery drama...

Amazon Prime

Carl Reiner (who is 95 years old) has a special being broadcast tonight on HBO from 8:00 - 9:30 PM called "If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast". He tracks down several people who have made it into their 90's to show how the twilight years can truly be the happiest and most rewarding.

I saw him, Norman Lear (95 years old) and Dick Van Dyke (a mere 91) on CBS Sunday Morning discussing this show. They are all doing well and are still very funny. Newsday reviewed it in today's paper and gave it a rating of "A".

Should be a good watch!!

Deadwood. I never watched this when it aired on HBO but the complete series (3 seasons) is on Amazon Prime. This is pretty much the most profanity filled show I've ever seen and it can be seriously raunchy, but the characters are awesome. The profanity in itself is funny in as much as they use one word in particular as almost a language in itself... (for those that have seen the show the word being used to bridge the language gap between English and Chinese is hysterical..)

And as a weird segue I just saw that the actress that played Alma Garret on Deadwood is the mom on the new remake of the Lost in Space TV series that is currently filming and airing on Netflix in 2018.

Ian McShane is awesome in it.

My client named her dog Mr Wu :)
