Tulane

Look, I think this thing can get blown out of proportion, with even Jordan getting caught up in it himself. Why are we off to a very good (not great) start so far? Because Lavin is playing the guys who are playing well, with no preconceived bias towards highly regarded guy, including Jordan. The result? Pointer is having his best season so far, and is getting the minutes to justify it. Greene has had his moments, especially at Syracuse, where he hits shots in big moments. Harrison has taken on the load of rebounding guard, because with a 3 guard offense, we need rebounds. Jordan has gotten off to a shaky start, but if we are going to go far, if we are going to have a successful Big East campaign, he will be heard from in a very positive way. So thankfully, his miserable play so far has taken him off the court, but the moment he shows what he is capable of, minutes will return in abundance. You play well you play, you play poorly, you sit - it's a prescription for winning basketball, and kudos to Lavin for enforcing this for everyone - even his most talented player.

Uh... He hasn't played in a "miserable" .. that's going way too far; and I think out of line.

Jordan has been great on defense. He creates turnovers. He had a bunch of turnovers early on but he's cut those down.

His shot has has been on and off - which you can pretty much say about every player, other than Harrison, on this team.

So why call is miserable?

But I agree on your later point, he is needed, and needed badly, if this good team play is going to continue into Big East play and the NCAAs.

In my opinion, we had very high expectations for Jordan this year (he was voted pre season BE 2nd team) and he hasn't quite lived up to them. Aside from the turnovers and poor decision making, he's also taken many questionable shots. You can see he's trying to force things a bit. Like Jakarr it seems he has his head set on the next level.

Here at the game, looks like Rysheed is on the bench if anyone was wondering if he'd be here.

Down 9-8 at the U16. Offense looks good so far and defense doesn't look bad but they hit a few bail out shots

Good to see that we're not flat. The D has been pretty intense. Very nice ball movement. If we were a better shooting team, we'd be up 15.

D can catch Bob Zawoluk today.

And as many predicted a poor turnout

This is a prime trap game

More people than when I was here for Georgia Tech last year

Came off a bad loss for that one. 17 ranking this year. Not good for the program

At least the crowd is somewhat engaged unlike most of the Gonzaga game.

really disappointed w the crowd size here. Not sure about g tech game but we r ranked now

some JDR, some Felix, a li'l Jones...I wonder if Lav will give these guys more minutes or less moving forward? I imagine with Big East games, coach may want a shorter bench with his main horses...

but Chris and Felix could be starters next year for all we know. Hope they show some progress. JDR...just hit one of two free throws! :)
