Agree Lavin’s teams were awful defending the 3. But, what would you call Creighton last night against Nova ? When I turned it off , midway through the second half , the Cats has already hit 12 3 point shots . Many teams in the BE , not us , have 3-4 guys who can consistently hit the 3 . Contested or uncontested . We have 1. Clark . But , he isn’t going to get 12-15 shots a game . I agree with Beast that Ponds is a much better shooter than he has demonstrated this year . There are likely numerous reasons . I, for one , think Ponds has played hurt for much of the season . And, certainly Batman without Robin(Lovett) isn’t getting the same looks . All these are factors in his lower shorting numbers . Ponds, to me is a Lion for his heart and taking on the burden of trying to carry this team . For some reason , despite taking a beating nearly every time he goes to the Rim , doesn’t get the number of foul calls he should from the Refs ? Why is that ? Ponds should be going to the line 12-15 times a game and isn’t ! Are the Refs not doing their job ? Why ?

I like Simon but, agree 3 points in a big game like Xavier the other night is just awful

Last year against Xavier away the great Federico Missini scored - wait for it - three points. He was one for five from three with one assist and one rebound and one turnover. If you wrote ten posts about how awful he was I missed them.

Agree with Fun, Mussini mourning is silly & so repetitive. He chose to leave. Let's move on.

It's also pointless to speculate on our possible won-loss record with LoVett or had kids not gotten injured. As the kids say it is what it is. This our team now and I would rather be last in the Big East with them than 3rd in the MAAC.;)

Isaid before, this team has experienced a perfect red storm. Doubt it ever happens again.
