I think a Gonzaga fan posted about this a couple of weeks ago. If I recall correctly, he said that if Lavin were still coach we would definitely get this kid bc Few has a great relationship with Lavin. Poster still thought we had a good chance to land the kid with new regime. Poster was also very high on the kid's skill-set. Too much depth for Gonzaga at the forward/center position.

Nunez was a highly rated kid

And Lavin didn't lose him to Few, he lost to him to Pitino. H transferred from Louisville to the Zags after his frosh year.

He will have 2 years of eligibility left
I have seen him play several times this year
Small (listed at 5'11") but pretty good PG with a decent outside shot

Also Miami Redshirt freshman De'Andre Burnett is transferring
Pretty athletic kid with good potential

Yes, I think the Gonzaga poster was suggesting that bc of Few's relationship with Lavin, he would have been more inclined to guide the kid to SJU than he is now.

@jeffborzello: Miami guard Deandre Burnett is also transferring. Averaged 7.0 points as a redshirt freshman.

All I saw was Dave on JJ expressing that he would not be surprised if Adonis went JUCO. Nothing elsewhere to my knowledge.

I believe Louie was a mentor and Friend of Rick Barnes so that might have helped!

I don't think Barnes was involved at all.
