Transfer Portal

Committed to a team where the coach may or may not be iffy, and did so when local team was not trending in right direction. I think those are factors people are considering when hoping something happens with Jackson.

I like Fland better anyway. I'll be sure to tell Rick this next time he calls me.
Hoping is the key word. People are still hoping Russell Robinson will transfer back home 😂

I might also have to have a buddy hiding on the roof of the saloon/whorehouse behind you with crazy talk like that. 😁
Everyone thought Anderson stunk and everyone rightfully thinks Pitino is a basketball genius. Just going by style of player and assuming Pitino makes them better.

I actually don't think it would be tough to make him better. Tell him you are going to beat him with a restaurant table if he moves further than 7 feet away from the basket. But I think it'll be easier for Rick to just bring in a better version of Jones.

Do think Jones is way more coachable than Curbelo, for whatever that is worth.

In Rick I trust but in first year he brings in that many more players with more skill than Jones?
Asking a lot no?

You never want a kid to transfer when they are your players! The entire lineup next year is really the coach's decision just as Anderson shuffled his starting 5 this entire year with only Soriano being the constant.

Posh sat some games. Some games he played the SG.
Other times he played the point. Same with Curbelo.
Jones never started again in the crunch of the schedule.
Omar started eventually but then would ride the pines due to fouls. There was no consistent top 6 players.
The consensus was we have a BAD TEAM by most of you here!
Now, you all want to play the loyal alums supporting the kids.
Yes, if Pitino is the coach we "may" have better results.
If the schedule is as weak as this year we likely could be in the top half W/L-wise. But this group was never going to make post-season noise and most of you couldn't wait for the season to be over.
If you think that by just adding Pitino will make Posh a better and smarter player, I beg to differ. Adding bigger bodies that can shoot is going to be the key to improving the offense.
Defense is instilled in practices and requires a disciplined approach. Offense requires smart players in the backcourt with quick movement and passing. We continually overdribbled the ball.
Watch Princeton for the disciplined approach.
It would be great if our players could all make a big improvement next year but we know that some are what they are and a new coach may just bury those players deeper on the bench. It's best if some move on for their own good.
Yes, you hate players to transfer but you will covet a half dozen of the hundreds in the portal in a couple of weeks.
After the Pitino presser, I think you all now realize that the roster was flawed beyond the ability of even Rick Pitino to salvage.
He wants 6 "new" players to fit his style of coaching.
Ergo, I stand by what I had posted and feel more confident about the changes that need to be made.
As I said, we won't miss certain players with experience because they were part of the bad experience as a team of "individuals".
When I said everyone was expendable except Joel Soriano I am glad both Van and Rick agreed.

I don't know if the negatives that Rick will see outweigh the positives. You could definitely find a good SF in portal if Jones was expecting to play there this year, and definitely find a more traditional PF if that's where he was going to be.

I'm definitely not saying Jones is unskilled -- I had him penciled in for 17 ppg this past season. I just think a major housecleaning is on the way.

LeBron didn't not want to play in New York. He met with the Knicks when he was a free agent after his first stint in Cleveland.

The meeting is now infamous in Knicks history because apparently it was incredibly embarrassing and let LeBron know there was no shot he could play for the franchise.

Dolan demanded he run the meeting which is prob why it was so bad.

But yea Bronny probably staying west coast based on what I have heard

While I agree with those that say Bronny is a bit overrated based purely on his genes I like the west coast idea. First marquis recruit for newly D1 UCSD. Go Tritons!
