Transfer Portal

The vibes on the site are what they are because despite the context, even though it all makes sense, it still feels like negative press to get pelted with tweets about player after player leaving St. John’s.

So, for the well being of the fans, I hope rick gets us on the board with a transfer soon to start getting the ball rolling in the other direction
Next week

In the real world Monte, it’s generally a combination of both. Certainly in professional sports, people get big contracts based on what they’ve done (see Aaron Judge) factored in with what is expected they can continue to do. Sales may be a little different but in most of corporate America you are paid on a combination of past performance and expected future performance with a retention factor thrown in. Again, I am not saying for a minute that Rick can’t have guys that he sees as his guys but also don’t think Poshs past three years are irrelevant in predicting his likely performance next year wherever he plays.
I did not mean to imply that the last 3 years were irrelevant. Of course they're not. He is getting an opportunity with Rick because of his last 3 years. But let's also face facts, this last season was the worst of his 3. Yes there were contributing factors, but I do not think it's unreasonable for Rick to have said something along the lines of "I really want you here next season, but just know that you have a lot of work to do and that you'll be competing for minutes with the other guards that I'll be bringing in". At the same time, I can understand why Posh may not have wanted to hear something like that. And that's why I said in another post that I understand why both Pitino and Posh did what they did.

He’s Curbelo still a young man and I’m reluctant to use that phrase virus with anyone his age - he has a lot of living and hopefully maturing to do.
Blessings

Very fair. Also agree that last year was by far the worst of three. My point was that there were three years of Big East level performance, two of which were very good and you have to look at the body of work which I am pretty sure other Big East schools will do when evaluating Posh.

Again Pitino is my favorite basketball coach.
But can you imagine this board if any other coach had a 2 man roster at this point.
Well, technically, officially / unofficially, it's 5: Joel, Drissa, Brandon G., David J., Mohamed K, and we could field a team, of sorts. Lol.

Well, frankly, I hope it's a high-major way out west somewhere. Lol.
