Iona transfer Daniss Jenkins is Rick Pitino's first recruit. Heard from SMU, Ohio State and Wichita State, among many others. Called it a no-brainer to play for Pitino after their success together.

I don't think we're alone. We'd all like instant gratification but that rarely happens. I think we were all slightly disappointed by Clayton, Jr. not committing, keeping in mind that few if any of us had either heard of him let alone seen him play before RP spoke so glowingly about him. I, for one, am taking a deep breath on this all and letting it play out, knowing we are now being lead by as good a person leading the program than we have had in a really long time.

and i now see we got one, Daniss Jenkins, an experienced guard. Welcome. Let's get Ludlum now....

College coach on the addition of Daniss Jenkins: "I think that's a good get for them. Combo guard, good feel for the game, can score the basketball. He's obviously not a MAAC-level player. He's a quality piece."
