I don’t see how the basketball program even fields a team next year without a bunch of walk-ons. How could they not have a yes from someone once Mullin was not going to be renewed?

My prediction. Cragg resigns. And GSJ is named Head Coach. IMHO, worst possible scenario.
I honestly believe that at this point, the GSJ interim appointment is the best courser of action. Let the dust settle. Take the pain next year. Let Cragg go or the others leave and let the new AD (or a freed up Cragg) make a permanent hire next year, when hopefully this bad taste is partially diluted in the BB community's and potential coaches mouths.
Not sure GSJ should or would do it (as a young guy trying to look good next year won't help him in that regard), but I would do that now. Stop the bleeding. Get off the back pages.
