Once the NBA deadline passes in a couple weeks I suspect the transfer portal will heat up again with commits. Some kids want to see what some school’s situations will look like
 
Interesting to see if waivers given out like candy or only to kids who experienced coaching changes.

James Akinjo has received NCAA waiver to play this season at Baylor, source told @Stadium

Akinjo started his career at Georgetown, transferred to Arizona a year ago.

Today is the deadline for players to enter the Transfer Portal?  Any last minute names of relevance that we should be expecting?  I recall seeing Jose Alvarado avatars in here at one point.

you could go with so many crazy lineups….Wheeler should be a starter, Smith has a very good chance, Mathis started for a Big 10 team. Nyiwe is impressing everybody. Pinzon will be a stud…Stanley I heard is the best banger.. don’t know much about Traore but man this team will be deep even if we only get Williams and not Champagnie..

Not really a point guard, volume scorer. Did lead sweet 16 team in scoring. Talented player that often times tries to do too much. All that being said wish I could get him to the Johnnies lol.

If the timing were better with regard to deadline for not having to sit a year, I think we'd end up losing a kid we just landed right back to the portal if Williams came aboard. I was definitely intrigued, but as others pointed out, it would make for a crowd if Julian is back.

Butler lost one of last year's frosh forwards to TCU. The player, Coles, was from Texas and I guess he sees more available playing time there given the upcoming NCAA sanctions and transfers. Butler still has full roster of players.
 
I don't think Wusu starts this year - he's proven to be a spark off the bench. I think we see Stef Smith start in the 2 spot unless we add a bigger scoring option guard

I had a feeling transferring might be in the back of his mind as soon as he revealed the racist messages he received after the loss to Loyola. I thought the same about Liddell and the crap that he dealt with after Ohio State's loss.
