Because the Oakland player still had his hand on the ball after it hit the NC State player’s pinky finger (I saw it that way also).

Right. I saw it that way right away. Bucky Lappas was completely oblivious even after Gene Serratore explained it.

I stand corrected as they explained it was the right call because he didn’t have possession on the inbound play.
